Zoo or Seaworld

I would go to Sea World. They have a few rides as well as all the wonderful animals and Shamu shows. We got to feed the dolphins, feed the seals and also the bat rays. My daughter and I had a blast. We also went to the Wild Animal park and the San Diego Zoo. We loved the WAP better as the animals are free and not caged. They have a safari ride and you can feed the Lorikeet birds. So much fun. We went to the WAP first then the zoo and she cried at the zoo cause the animals were in cages. We spent two days at SeaWorld. I'd go again any day.

Love the zoo is a classic but seaworld is the best !!!! Do what i do i visit all three parks . We do that with my kids

The Zoo is the best value and definitely more laid back than SeaWorld. Might I throw out a 3rd option? The San Diego Wild Animal Park!!!!

If you like a more authentic and down to earth experience, go to the Wild Animal Park or SD Zoo. If you want to go to a theme park with some animals, go to SeaWorld. Both are fun, but are a different experience.

I prefer SeaWorld. But surprisingly, between the two of them, I liked the Polar Bear Display at the Zoo, more than the Sea World Polar Bear Display. Primarily, because when I visited, the Zoo had two Baby Polar Bears! so cute!

At Sea World I love the sea lion / walrus show, Shamu, the dolphin show, the penguin encounter. I loved the commersons dolphins, but sadly, they were all moved to florida's sea world.

as has been said, Sea World is more about shows and rides while the Zoo is about walking around and taking your time to look at all the animals, and there is also a bus tour so you can see it without walking much. We do prefer the zoo, but being a local, usually have passes to both.

I don't think there's a monorail at the zoo And the skyway was closed when I went because it was raining. I was soooo sad

we paid for the bus tour. I'm not a fan of the zoo.

the san diego wild animal park was way better than the zoo. IMO.

the wild animal park has transportation that takes you around the park. We did the truck photo tour. It was really nice and they drive you right down in with the animals.

Because it was raining, we got to take the bus tour for free. It was great! I'm not a fan of zoos, but I did like this one, even if only one restaurant and the fine dining place was open. Very disappointing and frustrating!

Shows and rides make it far more enjoyable than the zoo ..and i love the San diego Zoo. Sea World does a marvelous job of placing animals in highly themed natural environ exhibits.

For all the commendable efforts the zoo makes in order to demonstrate animals in their natural enviraonments (and their preservation), SDZ is still too preachy, and fails to generate the type of intelligent fun required to peak the interest of people in animals the way SeaWorld does. People love and adore the animals individually at SeaWorld. This instiles an intrinsic value that yearns for protecting animals the world over.

Zoologists, naturalists, and animal rights activists just don't get it.
