Trip Report Kings Island Opening day 2009

I know this is old news but I just got time to put a trip report together. On opening day, I got to the park at 7:00 a.m. and finally got in around 8:40. At 9:25 a.m., the season pass holders were led to the new coaster, Diamondback. Overall the coaster is amazing and you should check it out if you can. Now I am going to let the photo speaks for themselves.

Hmm. I wonder why Cedar Fair is trying to get rid of their Nick stuff?

I swear, Diamondback looks much steeper up close than it does in any picture. Which is why I probably won't go on it this season.

I really like how they re-did the walkway for The Beast, it looks so much nicer without that wooden fence there.

I'm just sad I won't be going on it much this season (at least not till my dad gets home) as the ride is too rough on mom with a bad arm and I don't like going alone on coasters.

But i'm waiting for the water park to open!!!!!

Did you go this year Joshrzmeup?

The lift hill looks bad with the steep hill but its not. Well if you do go by your self this year try to get in the single rider line at Diamondback.

I have a pass so be there alot this year.

Yeah, i've been there a few times this year so far, but not for very long. I have a gold pass but i'm not the type of person to go to the park alone and ride rides, it's just more fun with others.

I also think the new heating booth they put by the white water canyon exit is a huge waste of money. $8 for 5 minutes of heat when in the summertime you have a natural and free heater - the sun.
