Knotts Berry Farm is going to be hiring for Haunt Build in the next couple of weeks, and i know there are a lot of people looking for work so if you are qualified, why not become part of the Haunt experience by helping to build the various mazes for us to enjoy this October. Here is the info from Knotts.com:

Position: Construction Carpenters
Description: HELP US BUILD A BETTER NIGHTMARE!

Knott's Scary Farm has immediate openings for seasonal/temporary skilled workers and artisans to work 40 hours/week for approximately 45 - 60 days.


Apply for one of the following:

 Theatrical Carpenters
 Construction Carpenters
 General Laborers/Crew
 Scenic Artists/Painters
 Audio and Lighting Technicians
 Theatrical Crafts/Prop Masters


Requirements: Most positions require 2 - 4 years experience. General Laborers/Crew require no prior experience.

You must be 18 years of age, a high school graduate, or equivalent, to apply.

You must be able to pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.
To Apply: We will be interviewing candidates on Tuesday, June 16 and Tuesday, June 23 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Seriously it needs more... Haunt... LOL! But still its going to be wild to find out whats going to be there for 2009! Do you know when they normally announce the other stuff Elly? Like the important stuff... still build means that they will be building set pieces and props and stuff for mazes so thats always a promising sign of things to come!

the mazes need to be more darker and creepy. It would be awesome if we all hold hangs and go through the mazes together in the dark. ( im already scaring you guys already) lol.

I think more information will come in july on the knott's haunt site.

last year the mazes were leaked to the LA Times in july, dunno if they're going to do the same thing or not. typically thatotherwebsiteinolongeramassociatedwith used to be the first ones to announce the mazes for the year, in early August, typically after rehire, but after last year i have no idea what the Knott's PR people have up their sleeves.

the next big Haunt thing to happen will be rehire cards, monsters who worked last year and are invited back should be getting them in the mail starting later this month and into the beginning of next month. then New Hire (for those wanting to be Haunt rookies, or those who did not recieve rehire cards) is typically sometime in the first week or two of august. i'll post that info when it becomes available at Knotts.com


now we just need our first picture of wood lying around just waiting to be turned into a maze but its coming folks, yay!

I'd love to apply for this, but my string bean arms are no good w/ heavy lifting (as much as i'd like to be a bad-@$$ female construction worker)! I'm an art major, so I could totally help with scenic painting, but darn it all! I'm going to be out of town on the interview days. Please keep us updated for other Haunt-related jobs and auditions, because it's so dang cool that I'd love to work for it any way I can!
