wow, such an improvment over Parking Lot: The Ride (both of them in cali actually) and I love the station rendering from the video (on six flags site) but I'm not sure how the dragon on the front of the train will look. I can't wait to ride this though!

Yay! I can't wait! This looks like it will be AWESOME! I was kind of hoping for a flying immelman but i'm not even sure that's possible on a coaster such as this. Oh well though because this will definitely make me want to go back to SFMM!

Ha ha, yes I do think Scream taught them a lesson when it generated so little excitement.
Even better though is this question: now that SFMM has built (or building) their 17th coaster, does this mean they now have the money to have the parts to actually run all 17? Even better run them all at once?
I mean how many of thier coasters were down most of the year so far?

Six Flags should do some kind of rehab for Flashback... cause that ride was soo cool (minus the pain).. is it true that one of the reason's why they closed it was because it was distracting the lifeguards at hurricane harbor?? cause if it was... they should make flashback into an indoor roller coaster like how it was originally supposed to be. i wonder why its so bumpy though...

Re: Tatsu annouced at Six Flags Magic Mountain

^ That is true. Even when the ride was open, it has been closed for the summer since Hurricane Harbor opened.

Actually, there is no power going to Flashback. They unplugged it and are using the power for Tornado at Hurricane Harbor. So the chances of Flashback opening are slim to none IMO.

As for coasters closed at the park, personally I think this year was a pretty good year for having alot of coasters open. For most of the year the only coaster closed was Flashback. After summer ended they started bringing stuff down for Tatsu construction, but other than that it wasn't bad.

Just what they need, more twisted death-metal track.

Death metal? Point out some recent coaster caused deaths at Magic Mountain. No, not heart attacks, etc... Some actual deaths caused by the rollercoasters themself.

Re: Tatsu annouced at Six Flags Magic Mountain

I wouldn't say "Death Metal", but SFMM has pretty much reached it's peak on intense coasters and hopefully Tatsu is more about working with the lay of the land than it is twisting your innards.

Goliath causes white-outs to people who don't raise their hands up during a particularly nuts helix. I mean, honestly now, they shouldn't even ATTEMPT to top that.

It was just a joke, because as you drive by it, it looks like twisted metal everywhere.

Drove by the park today doing some work in the area. The lift hill is in the process of assembly. Looks like it starts around the base of the tower and lifts up and to the left as you look at the park from I-5. Doesn't look like much else has been built. Then again it's hard to look when you're zooming by at 75mph
