Calling all Coaster Enthusiasts! Plan for a coaster filled day including E.R.T. on our most popular rides, Mrs. Knott's Chicken Lunch, Thrill Seeker's Raffle, plus a commemorative T-shirt.
The actual details (ERT, Hotel packages, Fridy night Reception) have not been posted yet. I know a few people here have said they were going. We are about 95% for sure going, just awaiting the final schedule to be sure.

Also the West Coast Bash at SFMM is the day after. The details of that event are still not posted either.

West Coast Bash is a great event in itself, and was actually better than Solace last year.

I'm actually thinking of going this year... Hmmm I'll have to see how a few things work out (including the final scedule of events and such) and I've always wanted to go to the SFMM thing the next morning (I hear many great things about the low wiats for the rides open for ERT)

^ We rode Goliath I think 11 times, X once (all we wanted but there was no wait) and Riddlers I think 4 times. We were tired by the last 1/2 hour of ERT so we didn't do much.

Re: Knott's Winter Coaster Solace - March 11th, 2006

It's basically a yearly coaster event that is held at Knott's every year. Basically they open up the park at 7am and have ERT (Exclusive Ride Time) on most if not all of their coasters.

Basically that gives you 3 hours before the park opens to the public to get all of the rides you can get on some of the most popular rides.

Then after that they have a lunch buffet and raffle that goes until about 1:00. At this point you have the rest of the day to enjoy the park as you see fit.

Then when the park closes you get another 2 hours of ERT (Usually Ghostrider with no lights and another coaster).

They also have a Friday night reception with ERT as well but you have to book the hotel package. That info should be coming out in a few weeks.

It's a really fun event, but has gotten more popular over the past few years. While it's entirely possible to get upwards of 30 rides on Montezooma's Revenge or Jaguar in the morning, when they open up Xcelerator that line can get long. Hopefully this year they will add Silver Bullet ERT to the list.

OFFICIAL INFO RELEASED!!!

A few things jump out at me from the flyer:
- No specific schedule of morning/evening ERT
- EXCLUSIVE in-park offers for ACE members ONLY
- $229 for the hotel deal ... yet no ERT is listed for Friday night, only VIP dinner is indicated

WestCoaster and Screamscape usually have flyers you can print out that works the same as "Club Affiliation". When they are released I will post it here.

I love that knotts let's people do that, unlike some of the other caoster events where you hAVE to be part of a specific group or their guest.

Looks like RideWorld will be hosting their West Coast Bash again this year on March 12 to coincide with Knott's WCS:

http://www.rideworld.com/events.html

Last year's event included 2hrs ERT on X and Goliath.

Re: Knott's Winter Coaster Solace - March 11th, 2006

The RideWorld event has been great the past 2 years.

Although last year I only rode X once, that was all I could take. That thing beat the heck out of me.

I'm sure they are working out what coasters will be available for ERT this year. Last year it was X, Riddlers and Goliath. Only problem is with the construction going on it will be alot harder to get between coasters this year.

Re: Knott's Winter Coaster Solace - March 11th, 2006

Well, made my reservations for the Knott's Hotel today for the weekend, with MouseAdventure currently looking at a April 30th date (not yet final, but the target, so long as Disney agrees to it), Deogge's Mom and I will spend the weekend at Knott's, and more than likely SFMM this weekend

Re: Knott's Winter Coaster Solace - March 11th, 2006

I just got the schedule in the mail...

Here it is for Saturday, March 11th

6:30 AM Registration

7 to 10 AM ERT for Jaguar!, Boomerang and Montezooma's Revenge

8 to 10 AM ERT for Xcelerator, Supreme Scream and Timberline Twister

11 AM Group Photo

12:30 to 2:30 Chicken Dinner Lunch at the Picnic Area

10 PM to Midnight, ERT for SIlver Bullet and Ghostrider, plus a late night snack.

There isn't much about the Friday Night events (only for those who book the Hotel Package), except the fact they plug the Dinner, and the fact it will be hosted by Gregg Picon.
