Pirate's Dinner Adventure

This is located in Buena Park, California.

So anyone gone to this Dinner/Show yet? Would like to hear some opinions before buying tickets.....Is the food good? Is it a good show for Wolfette (9 years old)? Is it worth the money? How was the service?

OK....looking for reviews...???

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

I would fancy a guess that it's on-par with Medieval Times in terms of food quality and show quality. I watched the video on their website and it looks about as fun as Medieval Times.

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

all i know about it is that it replaced wild bill's. i'm guessing it's the same owners in which case it will be similar, but with a different theme. i really liked wild bill's when i was about wolfette's age, but was WAY too cool to go there when i was a teenager

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

heh. Yes, there's that too cool era of one's life that lasts from ~13-18 years. This is probably why I never got to Wild Bill's myself. Pirate's Dinner Adventure sounds like fun, but sometimes it is difficult to spend $50 for this brand of entertainment. There's likely much more exciting dinner theater (if that's what you're into) around, or there's always the Anaheim equivilent of Aladdin (free with AP) + Napa Rose (>$50 but you don't have to eat with your hands).

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

My family has seen it during a preview and said said the kids loved it but that every one else wasn't to impresed. We are a theater family and have been involved in many produtions so we are hard to impress and are very criticale so its hard to say what the avrage person will think but my family was not impresed.

I'd like to see Johnny Depp walk into that place in full Jack Sparrow regalia.

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

I wonder if it's the same one that is in Orlando? The one there my children loved. I wasn't that impressed with the show itself but the food was good.

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

I think a show like that can't be judged solely on what takes place on stage. You pretty much have to judge the overall experience, the "evening," if you will. Those types of shows often run a bit along the "campy" lines, but that can be LOADS of fun when it's done right and in the right setting.

I'd like to hear more about it too.

Re: Pirate's Dinner Adventure

Just booked reservations for February 19th at 7:30PM, anyone interested in joining us?

They do take AAA as a discount, if that helps. 2 Adults + 1 Child ended up at $122.03.

Will give you a first hand review after then!
