Uninformed Concierge and Ripleys and Wax Museum info

On our way from the airport to the hotel last week - some people on our bus were talking about going to the wax museum and ripleys after going to Knott's Berry Farm. I told them that they both closed several months ago and they were pretty bummed.

The people mentioned it to the concierge at the hotel and he told them that they were both still open and gave them brochures.

We drove by both places on the way to Knott's and the Ripley's sign says we are still open - but I didn't see any life over at the Wax Museum.

Can anyone give me an update - just for curiosity's sake? I read that they auctioned off most of the wax dummies...

They both closed, then less than a week later, Ripley's reopened.

So, Movieland Wax Museum is closed, but Ripley's is not.

The wax museum is closed. However, they are keeping Ripley's open for a while.

The above posts are correct. I drove past Ripley's today, and it was open with a small line of guests. In case you feel better getting an eyewitness account.

Yeah - Ripley's is open. Which is great because Movieland had wonderful historic significance and Ripley's is a joke. Just great...
