Re: What parks do you like?

Our usual hangouts (besides DL/DCA) are:

USH
Knott's
and LegoLand.

We are AP'ers for each.

We have been to: (some a few times)

Bonfante Gardens
Great America (since it was Marriott's)
Marine World (both new and old)
Magic Mtn
Sea World
San Diego Zoo and Wildlife Park
Raging Waters (if that counts)

And some golden oldies:

Santa's Village (Scott's Valley)
Frontier Village
And the original Marine World (worth mentioning again)

Re: What parks do you like?

Some of my favorites that I try to visit as much as possible:

Hersheypark
Cedar Point
Busch Gardens Europe
King's Dominion
Holiday World

If anybody finds themselves near Santa Claus, IN sometime (near Evansville...about 1 hour West of Louisville), definitely stop and visit Holiday World. The original theme park, Holiday World has three top-notch wooden coasters, a great family atmosphere and collection of rides, FREE soft drinks all day long in the park and a waterpark that's included with park admission. It's a lot of fun, it's clean and well worth a visit.

Hmm. For me I like a park really based off it's rollercoasters. I mean Six Flags over Georgia isn't the best run park, doesn't have the best clientel, but it has some really spectacular rides. On the flip side, Paramount's Carowinds really lacked excellent rides, but was run pretty well, had pretty polite and normal clientel and great park security. I just really missed the rides.

I'd have to say outside of Disney, my top park is probably Six Flags New England. It has that balance of being decently run and has some good rides (Superman ).

Re: What parks do you like?

Some of my favorite parks aren't high on the "Coaster Count".

Sea World and Bonfante Gardens come to mind. They only have 3 coasters between them but they are both such beautiful well-run parks that it's hard NOT to have a good day there.

Re: What parks do you like?

Outside of the Disney parks, Busch Gardens Williamsburg, now called Busch Gardens Europe, is my favorite park. It's got a lot of variety in a beautiful setting and it's well maintained. We used to be passport holders here. My favorite time to go is in the Spring and during the Fall for Howl-O-Scream.

I don't care for any of the Six Flags parks. I am most familar with Great Adventure in NJ and America in MD. I've been to some of the others, but overall the parks aren't well maintained. I'll still go if someone else wants to go, but I prefer going to Hershey or Dorney before those two.

Re: What parks do you like?

I like Busch Gardens and Adventure Island Tampa, FL. We have the EZpay Passports, basically your monthly payment plan AP for those parks. I like the theming they have, they work shade a lot better than Disney IMHO and the coasters can not be beat.

Adventure Island is just a great water park that my family frequents many a weekend.

Re: What parks do you like?

Yes, BGEurope is just a beautiful park. I can happily spend plenty of time just walking around people watching and enjoying the scenery and theming.
