SFNE Trip Report

So we went to SFNE yesterday, my last trip of the season. It was a hot day, and there were crowds, but we managed to ride rides and not die in the heat so all was well.
It was a basic day at the park so just a few notes and then photos.

Strollers- Oh my god, when did Six Flags start renting out those WDW-Tank Strollers? I've never seen them before yesterday.

Cyclone- Was not smooth again...only had that luck once. It seemed faster...but anyways there was a lot of wood stacked up behind the station...so I wonder if there is still work to be done on it this winter too?

Nightwing- Was running! Have not seen that since 2004's Hallowween!

Horror Nights has already started advertising. Not just the reaper on Main Street as usual, they now have a huge organ display up in the entry plaza. It's cool looking...but doesn't excite me. I'm not a huge Hallowween fan.

Bathing Suits. Now maybe Disney is classier so it doesn't get this issue...maybe it is all to blame on the free waterpark...but far too many people are walking around in just bathing suits. Okay, let me be frank, far too many women. Girls that are too young to be hanging out in a park in bikinis are doing it...women far to fat are doing it. I guess the biggest issue is the people who are just wearing a bathing suit as park attire are the ones who shouldn't be doing it. And seems like no employee is willing to tell them to cover up. Shirt and shoes required to me says a bikini top is not proper attire.
Though we had the ride ops at Splash Water Falls tell one lady to cover up...thank god too...she was old and not slim and her bathing suit was riding up her butt... they told her she wasn't riding without shirt and shoes and shorts. She put on shorts and tried to get on. They told her to get shoes. Call me crazy...but I think a park is not the place to slut up and let it hang out...am I alone in thinking suits should not be allowed as attire?

Nightwing was running! It ran like maybe 5 times an hour...but it ran...


Cyclone, meet wood. Does this mean more work is on it's way? Because Cyclone isn't a fun ride...but they did nice work on it last winter.

Thanks for the update hope you get the pics up soon. I've been planning on going all summer but haven't found the time yet. I'd be happy going just for the Superman ride.

And boy, SFNE has a great selection of CARS toys. Nice rare DieCast cars.

Did you ride the new Catapault. If so how was it?

Ha! I don't do spins. I do coasters, and all coasters at least once, but spinners: no. In June 4 of the 5 I went with rode it. Of those, only one (with a new person) went on it again.

Catapault spins you? I think it is new this year it looked like a snap mouse trap that propelled a car load of people toward the ground. I only saw it for the half a second they show in the commercial.

If it is a spin ride, forget about it, I don't do those either.

Well not nessesarily spinning you around but it spins like a ferris wheel almost, it throws you towards the ground but keeps spinning afterwards.

i'd love to get back to this park . I haven't been to this park since 2002 and since then they changed the Safety System on SROS .
