USH VIP Tour

My son and I celebrated his birthday by treating ourselves to the VIP tour at USH. The VIP tour included visiting the soundstage for the TV show Crossing Jordan. If my first attempt at including photo's works out, you should be seeing a photo of my son in the autopsy room next to a cadaver. Also, you should see a pic of Macy's office. If this works out, I'll include more pics and info about our day tomorrow.

Re: USH VIP Tour

Well, I see the pics came out as thumbnails even though I clicked on the "message board" size in photobucket.

I'll figure it out tonight and hopefully post the rest of them in the correct size so you can view them better (even though you can click on them now, I want to do it right).

Well at least you gave it a try. We can click on the thumbnails and get full size pics. Thanks for sharing!

Re: USH VIP Tour

Jordan will return to the airwaves in January (probably it's final season).

We also toured the prop room and the Bates Motel area on foot. I'll post some pics later tonight.

USH has actually offered the VIP tour for at least 15-16 years that I personally know of. We took it back in 1990 or so and then again when Arnold did the movie "Jingle all the Way" (whatever year that was). I remember that, because he was filming it in the lower lot (the parade scene) and we got to meet him and his stunt double as part of the tour.

The tour has evolved into what it is today, which is something that anyone interested in getting "behind the scenes" should experience.

Back in 1990 (or so) the VIP tour was less organized. We were lucky on ours, since my wife and I (at the time kid-less) were the only two on the tour. Back then you could request where/what you wanted to see. Being a fan of Jaws, one of our stops was the quaint little town of Amity. I actually got to step on board the Orca and had my wife take a few pics. It was a blast! You enjoy the tour on your own personal trolley car, rather than the Tram.

Today's VIP tour is more organized, but still a very enjoyable time. It also includes front of the line entrance to all of the rides and shows, as well as the opportunity to meet the performers from T2 and Waterworld. Of course, visiting a live "set" inside an actual soundstage and the prop building are the highlights.

You should call to make reservations for the tour, but they do take a few "walk-ups" if space allows. Check out their web-site for details.

Enjoy!

Re: USH VIP Tour

I've never done this, but by reading previous posts it looks like fun. I get tired of USH pretty quickly since it really doesn't have much to offer (like Disneyland) ... but this makes me want to go soon and take the VIP tour.

Thanks for posting this!

Here's one of my son in the prop department next to a raptor from Jurassic Park.

Re: USH VIP Tour

Did this a little less than a year ago with about 30 friends and had a blast! We also saw the "Crossing Jordan" set and the other stuff that people mentioned. Plus we got front of the line for any rides that we wanted. It was a lot of fun.
