GAP woes deepen in bleak holiday season

Quote:
Investors appeared to be betting that Gap's poor performance in the pivotal holiday shopping season would prod the company's board to either oust Pressler after nearly three years of eroding sales or perhaps become more receptive to overtures from deep-pocketed buyout firms confident that they could engineer a turnaround.

Well.........I must say - The Gap used to be one of my favorite stores - and we often did a lot of Christmas shopping there - and we did NONE there this year - the product seems lack luster. Not sure if that has to do with Pressler or not.

Re: GAP woes deepen in bleak holiday season

I don't understand (sarcastic). Is there a GAP theme-park somewhere? Or is this just in the NON DISNEY PARKS section because someone who used to work for Disney works for GAP now? Just asking.

It's probably here for that reason, but why is that a problem? It's interesting news, that's all

The Gap used to be one my favorite stores as well, and pretty much bought most of my xmas gifts there too! Now I rarely stop in there, because I never find anything.. oh well

A little off topic but where did Pressler come from before Disney stores?

Not off topic and a very good question.

Anyone?

Actually, he was with Kenner-Parker Toys.

Here's a comical piece - but tells us where Pressler was before Gap and Disney.

Never said it was a problem. However, there is a news section on this website. Many times posts are moved to a more appropriate forum. For example, you wouldn't post stuff about USH in the Disneyland Forum.

Re: GAP woes deepen in bleak holiday season

Even though I hate Pressler with the heat of a thousand suns, I still find myself shopping at Gap quite a bit. I even went tonight and got one of those overpriced "INSPI(RED)" t-shirts... mainly because this whole "RED" line thing is partially Bono's idea (U2 nerd here)... and they look pretty darn spiffy.
