New Summer Series Kicks Off On June 27 With
Specal Appearance By 'Wicked' Star Carol Kane

The witchcraft begins on Wednesday, June 27 with a special appearance by Carol Kane (Madame Morrible) to introduce a "Witches of Oz"-themed performance with stars from the show performing some of the musical's most memorable songs. On July 11, "Wicked Wednesday" will feature a performance by popular cast member, Kristoffer Cusick (Fiyero) and on Wednesday, July25, the "Ozians" of "Wicked" will round out the summer series with an ensemble performance from the musical.

All performances will be followed by an autograph session and opportunities for guests to meet their favorite "Wicked" cast member. Interactive "Wicked" activities from karaoke to face-painting will kick offeach performance. "Wicked" merchandise will also be on sale.

"Wicked," the smash hit musical that the New York Times called, "one of the most successful shows in Broadway history" is now performing at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood. Based on the novel by Gregory Maguire,"Wicked" has music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz and book by Winnie Holzman. It is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento. "Wicked' is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The AracaGroup, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

Winner of 15 major awards including the Grammy(R) Award and three TonyAwards(R), "Wicked" is the untold story of the witches of Oz. Long beforeDorothy drops in; two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born withemerald-green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other isbeautiful, ambitious and very popular. Probably within the park. However there are currently no shows scheduled in the Amphitheatre for those dates.

I heard something like half the cast has worked at USH at some point in the past - in either Beetlejuice or Spider-Man Rocks.

Just letting you all know, most of those actors are going to be understudies...on the last Wicked Wednsday it's supposed to be the actual leads in the production, but that might not be the 25th...they might add another Wednsday.
