HUGE!!! development in Knott's Haunt info!

ok, maybe its only HUGE!!! to me..but i'm a Haunt junkie, i can't help it

Mazes, Scare Zones and a parital list of Shows has been released on the Haunt site www.themeparkadventure.com

If you go to their main page and look for the "35" it will take you to not only the info, but also some of the first pics of maze and show props starting to be stacked up backstage as Build goes into full swing this coming week.

What is there to look forward to? No less than 5! new mazes/rethemed rides this year! Some surprises for me as to who is staying, no surprises for me really as to who is gone.

Haunt is on its way, can you smell the fog in the air?

grudge 2..again? i thought that there would be a new maze of which ever horror movie was coming out this year?

yeah i was suprised by this as well, imho The Grudge2 maze was amazing, the girls in that maze brought it every night...but it was a 1 year maze.

my first impression of this news is: its outdated now and i wish it'd been replaced by something new. but, can't form any real opinions until its actually experienced.


i'm most excited about The Doll Factory and the return of a clown maze, Killer Clown Kollege.

I didn't even think about this!! Maybe we'll also go to this when we go to Disneyland in October. I just don't want to pay extra to go to California Adventure for the Halloween thing.

Although this is great news, don't get me wrong, but I find it weird that they've let Themeparkadventure.com post all the list of mazes for this year's Haunt.

I mean normally we always wait until late August for an announcement, but now somehow its weird. Maybe since, this may be just me, Universal announce who will be the icons for this year's HHN, Knott's felt like they needed to announce something thru a really close-partner website (source).

Nonetheless, I was hoping for the rumor of Rob Zombies' Halloween maze to come true, instead of The Grudge 2. Oh well, can't wait for Haunt.

Does Elvira still do her shows there? She was freakin funny when I saw her at "Knott's Scary Farm" years ago.

Elvira hasnt' been at Knotts in...6 maybe 7 years. The last year she was there was (in my opinion) a disappointment. They took a great maze, Nightmares, and plastered Elvira all over it which just lessened the effect of the maze.

I've also never really been a huge fan of the shows in the Charles Shultz Theater. When they moved Ed Alonzo into there his show went down the tubes quality-wise. I'm very nervous that they've decided to have the Hacks! show in there this year. Hacks! is an amazing improv show, but worked so very well in The Birdcage Theater, i'm worried its going to lose some of its umph in such a large venue, but i really hope it doesn't. Hacks! is one of the best additions to Haunt in recent years
