Thanks for posting!

We take advantage of Knott's generosity each year for the day after Thanksgiving.

Even though the extra tix used to go for $5, then $10, now $12.95, it is still a huge bargain.

See you there!

I think this is a great thing.......and I think Disney should really do this - not all the time, but during a time in the year - like "For the Month of May...yada yada yada" - It would be a great promotional.

^^^^^^^

They did for a short time in the recent past.

It is a nice gesture, and by all means is appreciated.

Great thing Knott's does. Just make sure to avoid weekends at Knott's the weekends in December with these promotions AND Toys for Tots the park get's crazy.

Still please do donate to Toys for Tots, but save the Knott's visit for a non-busy time.

Magic Mountain does Toys for Tots and the crowds are usually quite managable there.

Actually, SFMM does not do Toys for Tots (The US Marine Toy Drive), instead they team up with Channel 5 (KTLA/CW) and the Boys and Girls Clubs of SoCal. It is still a good cause, buit it was only offered for 3 days in 2006, while the Knott's drive is three weekends (6 days).

Both are good causes, and once the official info is released by Six Flags, I will post the details, last year it wasn't until after Thanksgiving.

^ When did they change that? It was Toys for Tots for years. I wasn't aware of the change. Thanks for the info.

We always do Toys for Tots. They are usually at our local stores and when we go in, we will let the kids pick out a toy or two for the Tots and give them to the people there. It makes the kids feel good.

Thanks Darkbeer. We hope to be back the first weekend of December and now have invited one of our co-sons to come along since his dad works for Homeland Security in Anaheim and can get us a discount. Tell Lisa if we come I am ready to ride XCELERATOR with her

Re: Free Admission to Knott's Bery Farm for Veteran's, Fire and Police information

I'm considering going to Knotts sometime this month (both of my parents work for county depts in social services). Does it matter that they're just clerical workers in those dept? They don't have to be like actual social workers or something, right? (The depts are mental health and children/family services).
The Toys for Tots offer sounds good too (I have lots of new toys that were bought years ago - but I never opened them, and we want to give them away to charity anyway) but I'm busy during the first 3 weekends of December (Nutcracker...).
