Concept Art For Hogwarts Express Attraction At Wizarding World

If you are as excited about the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park/island coming to IOA as I am, you will enjoy taking a look at the concept art for the Hogwarts Express train and it's station. This is the first released picture of a single attraction as opossed to a general overview of an area.

After clicking on the link below, you will have to be patient as the attraction is at the end of the video. The vid is a collection of concept art pictures. In the Hogwarts Express picture, there is steam that enshrouds part of the engine. So, it appears to be a functional engeine. There is also a little fence like structure (possibly a gate) in front of the engine.

I'm not sure whether this will be an actual train ride such as the ones at Disneyland and the Magic Kingdom. I am hoping big time that it is. What do you think?

The train ride is a rip off of Disneyland's train.



I couldn't resist. Honestly It looks great. How ever from what i've seen it looks boring =/ I really want to see some attraction concept art!!!!

Hey! We're two years out. A little patience in the peanut gallery pleeeeeeeease.. Besides, train rides are cool. We'll see more concept art for attractions rolling down the line soon enough.

With the fence in front of it, it seems to confrim the information that this will be a stationary attraction.

I can't wait! Theme Parks wars are the BEST!

Theme park wars between Disney and Universal are particularly wonderful. They translate into both companies pulling all of their resources together for unbridled warfare as they create all kinds of unique state of the art attractions.

If the Hogwarts Express is a stationary train, let's hope it houses a simulator ride inside.

Could you imagine a ride the size and length of a Disneyland Railroad train travelling thru a loop?! I can just invision the steam whipping about all over the place..


Seriously, I am hoping that Hogwarts Express turns out to be a full fledged train ride. This would rule.

Those concept art pictures alone blow away most of what Disney has given us here in America in the past 5 years. I mean Universal is building Harry Potter land and Disney is giving us...toy story..mania. Yet another gimmicky interactive ride where you look at videos with 3D glasses This from the company that used to build rides like Star Tours, Indiana Jones adventure, splash mountain, and Haunted Mansion. Oh well, like i've been saying come 2009 i'll be spending more time at Universal between harry potter, simpsons ride, and halloween horror nights.

The 12 acre Carsland will be highly unique and fun. I'm looking forward to it while on pins and needles. Even so, the 20 acre Harry Potter Land should contain far more mind blowing rides and attractions than anything out there. Hopefully, this will benchmark the point where Universal starts catching up with Disney.

I agree, from the looks of it it appears it may just be a walk-through of the Hogwarts Express. Which will still be cool.

We don't know but what we will at this point. The picture does show steam emiting from the engine. I see no point in Universal creating a show effect like that unless the damn thing is going to go go GO!!!

The rumor has been all along that we would ride the train to get to the big secret ride they're working on.
