Vegas Baby

So I'm in the midst of planning my first trip to vegas for mid May!!
Other than the usual casinos/drinking what else is there to do in 'SIN CITY'?

I've already 'requested' a tour of the neon sign graveyard, am planning to go to the wax museum and then the m&m store.

I'm not into night clubs and dancing or gambling!!
...so any ideas on cool stuff/can't miss stuff to do will gladly be welcomed!!

Thanks in advance!!

Re: Vegas Baby

From when I went to vegas, I mostly saw in terms of No gambling areas:
Gameworks
Coca Cola World(Sampling is gone though)
M&Ms world with cool Small Run and 3D video
Animatronic Hawaiian Birds show(found it while walking to the other side of the strip)(I will try to find the name of it )
NOTE: the whole area is called Hawaiian Marketplace.
Lions exhibit in MGM Grand
Freemont Street experience is something cool to see if you can travel off the strip by taxi.

I really havent seen the whole strip so others will ahve to recommend areas past Mirage since I only saw tropicana Casino-Mirage

Re: Vegas Baby

Of course, you know I'm going to recommend the Star Trek Experience.

Mirage volcanoe
Bellagio fountains
Bellagio gardens (can't remember exactly what that place is called, but I think it's off the lobby)
Both AA fountain shows at the Cesar's forum shops (and the forum shops themselves)
Phantom Las Vegas
I suppose I have to mention the pirate show at TI (I miss the old one though, it was waaaayyyyy better!)
Also, not sure if they ripped it out in the overhaul, but the Luxor had this really cool Egyptian themed motion ride (seriously, the whole ride was like Disney style immersive theming). I remember the word Obelisk was in the name of it.

Re: Vegas Baby

luck for you, i just went on a trip to vegas in March:
Here's a list of some things we did and some i wished we did:
-Secret Garden and Dolphin Experience at the Mirage (White tigers, other animals, and dolphins)
-LOVE at the Mirage (Cirque du Soleil show with Beatles songs)
-Blue Man Group at the Venetian Hotel (show, i didn't see it but it sounded cool)
-Gondola rides at the Venetian (boat rides through the canalshoppes in the Venetian)
-Manhatten Express Roller Coaster at New York New York (roller coaster)
-Stratosphere (three rides at about 1 thousand feet above ground)
-Indoor Skydiving (floating in a windtunnel, as if you were skydiving, without the sinking stomach feeling) (i highly recommend this; it was extremely awesome)

For other shows and attractions and whatever has to do with Vegas just visit this site it helped me when i was planning: http://www.vegas.com/
You'll find everything at the site. I hope I helped and that you have an incredible trip!

The Stratesphere Tower is a Blast! If you love thrill rides you'll love the High Roller and Big Shot and there's some new rides there that I haven't seen, I think it would be fun.

Re: Vegas Baby

I love just walking around and being in the city!! There's a really fun piano bar in Harrah's. It's like bar-wide karaoke!! I also love watching drunk people....I just find them hilarious!

Re: Vegas Baby

I was just there last week!

Check out the really really weird show at the Wynn.
It is inside in the casino in a lagoon like setting.

Also, off the strip, is Pinball Hall Of Fame. About 20 blocks west of the strip on Tropicana.

Strip clubs..hmmmm....*pondering*!!!
I was thinking of that actually...just curious!!! But for the most part I think I'm keeping it PG-13!!

Re: Vegas Baby

Go see Mystère at Treasure Island! Worth every penny for that show. Cirque du Soleil shows are actually the cheapest shows in Vegas; under $100. Highly recommend seeing one of them.
