![]() | Re: Fun European Countries There are lots of fun places in Europe but the current dollar to euro conversion is horrendous. You might want to consider Croatia as a fun place that is not a full part of the EU yet. |

![]() | Re: Fun European Countries Uh...the Netherlands, specifically Amsterdam? Denmark, Iceland, and Ireland have an awesome nightlife scene. Spain, too. Prague is still pretty inexpensive from what I hear, and the party scene there is outrageous. --nick--

![]() | Re: Fun European Countries Stop watching Stupid Medias and go to France to see that is not true . The only american that the french dont like is your president . But even the americans dont like him . I have lived in America for a while and i can say that he is not popular anymore . On the other side of the Atlantic the medias focused on French because we didnt want to go to Irak but go to Spain or UK or any other European Countries to see that Americans and other tourists are treated the same way that you are treated in France .Micechatters who went to France can say that it is not true . |

The trick, as it is with ANY country, is to read up on their customs before you go. Not understanding, for example, that you will pay more to dine outside at a cafe than you will sitting inside, which will be more than standing at the counter, can lead to some wicked misunderstandings. And it's not right or wrong, it's just how it's done in their country. I recommend the travel guides by Rick Steves. He hasn't steered me wrong yet. His books are widely (and even abundantly) available in the travel section of your local bookstore.
