In all fairness, I haven't even bothered to go in the years I have gone to Haunt heh so wouldn't know. Last year, merely went and saw Zamora, of course, and the Hanging along with the live band Rocketz. Never really gone to any of the indoor sit down shows.

the only cool thing about feary tales. was that in the dragon scene, the dragons eggs were the same eggs from the "aliens" series

Thank you so much for the compliment and for being an avid Haunt fan. You are quite right about the video. We had originally posted video of 2007 Haunt shows, but then swapped it out for the generic footage while we work on a more customized KBF version. Check back to see the new footage in a week or so.

I was not sure who to address this to.

I wanted to comment that the new Halloween Haunt site is a excellent piece of work.

My only issue is that the video that is shown is clearly not Knott's Berry Farm but other Cedar Park theme parks. I understand that you may have used it to show what the new upcoming mazes, but on the other hand there is a noticeable difference.

As a fan for several years and former Haunt monster for 4 years I have great pride in the uniqueness in this event. I also would like to touch on the fact that this is were it all theme park Halloween events started at Knott's Berry Farm, always copied but never topped.

I don't know if this was already mentioned, but the footage in the video isn't Knott's because the entire site is copied. They used it a few years ago for one of Cedar Fair's other Halloween events. Can't remember which one, but I've definitely seen it before.

while the footage isn't from Knott's (which hopefully as the response to rick's email seems to point will be changing next week) all the still photos are, along with the majority of the various images on each menu section.

i don't mind that the format is copied, its a hell of a lot better than Haunt's past websites, but the video not being of any part of Knott's Haunt, that's disappointing.

I also loved the years Ed Alanzo was hosting. It takes a lot to host such a show and keep the audience from feeling like they would have spent their time better exploring more mazes. Both Ed and Dr. Cleaver had polished acts which worked great with crowds. The problem is when they try and create hosts and acts from just basic entertainment talent. While the people they choose might be good looking and have decent skills, it takes a real personality to host a show.

i kinda liked hacks last year. It wasnt the best show ever but it was entertaining. i seem to only remember the part where they are on the tricylces and the one dude rolls across stage yelling "Drive By!!" and shoots one of the cyclist. i found that to be mildly amusing... then again the shows at haunt are overshadowed by the many mazes and hanging... i think people ride the regular rides more than they want to watch a show.

i felt that both Ed Alonzo and Hacks! were better in the Birdcage Theater, altho Ed did fare better in the big theater than Hacks!. the thing that was best about Hacks! in the Birdcage was that it's a much more intiate venue and that really suited their improv style
