Hi,
I a wondering has anybosy stayed in either the Explorers Hotel or the Magic Circus... Am contemplating styaing in either of these hotels this summer as I have found good prices for them.
Also I am planing on buying to AP's and it is working out cheaper to stay in either of the above hotels with a bed and breakfast rate than to stay in the Sante Fe at a bed an breajfast rate...
So if anyone has been to either of these hotels could you please give me your opinions!

I've stayed at both, and really I do think they offer better value than Santa Fe and Cheyenne. Now to be fair, I stayed at Magic Circus when it was a Holiday Inn, and because it was on points, we stayed on 9 occassions for free, but still we ranked it higher than Sequoia Lodge or Newport Beach. I understand service has improved since.
In terms of target markets, the Explorers Targets English budget/moderate families. It can be noisy at peak times, but it is fine. It does have an excellent pool with a waterslide.
Magic Circus feels a little more upscale, but the pool is just a normal one.
Either way, you get a full service hotel with air con and a pool for your money. So either way is good.

I rang Disney this morning and the quoted me €440 for the Santa Fe for 4 nights with the Dream A.P. discount (which I would buy the day I arrive before going to the hotel)
I have a quote for 4 nights of €290 for explorers and €304 for Magic Circus... And €372 for the Dreamcastle on http://alpharooms.com
I think I will stay off property and get an A.P...

We have been doing that for years now. We take the car, so being off site is no big deal. And the Disneyland Hotel is the only one that offers the traditional Disney service standards.
No we own at the Marriott Ile De France, so we almost always stay there, or the Magic Circus. However the Dreamcastle is even nicer and on a par with the hotel New York.
Ah I see.. The Dream Castle does look very lovely!!
We are flying though so will have to rely on the pink bus! I love being able to walk to the parks but I have a long term plan in mind ya see
I am planning on getting us AP's because we will be back in January and possible next Spring too.... I think it makes economic sense to buy an AP...

Absolutely, but if you want to go really cheap to be able to go more often, and it is just two of you. The ETAP and the IBIS in Serris are great cheap options. No frills, but sometimes as cheap as €30 a night. They are safe and clean, there are fab better dining options in Val De Europe and it is an easy cheap train or bus ride to the parks. And you are technically still on Disney property.
On this trip my mother and brother are also coming... I looked up Ibis Val d'Europe and it is €30 cheaper than the Explorers... I think that we will pay the extra €30 this time... Thanks for your advice!!Originally Posted by davewasbaloo

Yep it has gone up a lot... I remember last summer I was looking at prives in July and it was €40 a night...
