What is there to see in Marne La Vallee besides the parks?

I'm going to Disneyland Paris alone because the rest of my family is really tight about our budget. They said they just want to walk around the areas of Disneyland Paris, but I heard that it's a rural area. Is there anything they can see that will keep them occupied the whole day?

A mall? A theater?

There is a large mall and aquarium in Val De Europe (one train stop or you can use the bus to get there).

Also the Disney Village has shopping and dining, as well as the themed hotels. Not cheap, but there is some fun stuff. There is an Imax, Arcade and Cinema, but most films are in French.

If it's a whole day, they could also go to Paris... Lots to do over there!

Disney Village, the hotels and Val d'Europe are nice as Dave said, but it might all be a little hollow if you don't actually visit the parks. The same RER train that takes you to Val d'Europe also gets you to Paris, if you didn't know that already.

If you have a car though, there are some amazing experiences not too far away - Medieval Provins, Meaux, Rheims, Compiegne, Chantilly, Pierrefonds - all breathtaking in their own way. As well as the chateau Vaux le Vicompte.
