Good morning, son
In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
It was pain
Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
The third is a jumbo pin, came out kinda recently-ish. (can you see a pattern here?.... hehe)
The fourth is the set. It's not produced by Disney, but from an outside company. It's the 5 DLRR engine plates from the fronts of all the engines... it's the fourth pic down on the page.
The fifth is completely different... it doesn't seem like that much, but it was the first pin that really got me into pin collecting for ones that meant something to me.
Dude those are rad! The railroad poster pin is actually one that I'm missing. I never see it on ebay much and when I do, it's sold at outrageous prices. As a comparison, the People Mover pin from that series sold at $25+. Just $10 more would buy you the actual print!!
Alright so if we're talking about our most coveted pins, I should chime in. I have too much to list but I guess I should put down my very first pin:
This was given to me at TDA. I don't know if it was ever on sale, I imagine it was, but I really like it a lot. I think there's others in the series that I'll have to get.
One of my favorite recent pins is this Disneyland marquee:
And like the one above, signs and logos are the emphasis of my collection. But I try to get them without a randomly placed character to mess it up. Here's a sampling of a few signs and logos:
Then there's the attraction posters. Since it's impossible to get them all in full size, I tried to get them in pin form. Turns out.. it's harder than I thought! Here's a sampling of the posters I've picked up:
Then.... there's trashcans. I only have the Midway Mania ones. I think that's as far as it'll go.
Those are all soooo awesome! I pretty much wish I had all of them, especially the Monorail Mark VII and the DRR pins! I want to find the plaque pin of the tunnel inscriptions just like the Partners one you have... they were released in 2000, and I can only occasionally find them on eBay. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to monitor the eBay auctions, so it doesn't work out for me usually.
