I just got sucked into the pin world officially today :3

I was cruising through ebay and I forget what I was looking for and came across some disney pins. Then I searched for some pins of Fantasia and got hooked!! I found a seller that had decent shipping price for them. I'll post which ones I won once the auctions end and I receive them
I got accepted into the Disney College Internship thing recently and hope to get some avid trading going on when working there!

Alot of the ones I bid on are of Chip N' Dale, and some of the origonal Fantasia. I found the site PinPics later and found many more that weren't even on ebay!! I'm sucked in now! There are so many that I didn't know existed XD I bid on some of the Dancing Mushroom ones and a few for my friend!!

Are there any tips into trying to find very specific ones that are limited edition runs off 1000 or less? Alot of them aren't even on ebay :C

Welcome. I really like Fantasia pins myself. You may want to have a look at Disneyshopping.com. They recently had a series of Fantasia pins and some were really lovely. I believe most, if not all are still available. Just be sure to wait until monday to buy since shipping is free for individual pins on mOndays.

BTW that Fantasia Centaurette with the Fan is terrific. I got one of them myself.

Actually it is not that random. They release their new pins on Monday so they give free shipping to grease the wheels.

Another newbie! I love it! I just started this insane collecting in June. It's SO fun!!!! I bought around 30 traders for my upcoming trip to DL.

Isn't that alot to trade? I thought there was a limit or something?
I only went to DL once when I was younger. The Animal Kingdom wasn't even built yet XD

Should I trade alot? I'm going to work there soon but I dunno how that'll play into my personal collecting and what rules I have. I only like specific ones so I haven't bought any "trader" pins yet.

I have a friend who has 150 to trade in December!!! We look for deals from reputable Ebay sellers. She's got an eye for ones that are fakes, and, I just mailed all of mine to her for her to check them. If there are garbage ones, I will throw them away (unless I like the style, but, typically when I buy a trader, it's not one I'd keep). She got me hooked by handing me a bunch in June when we went to DL together. It was a blast to pick out pins I wanted from the ones she gave me.

Oh wow!! I don't even think I could own that many!!
Though I shouldn't say that XD I might just acquire that many all too soon. I tend to hoard things like a pack rat!!

Is there any tips you could give me when I head down there as to finding pins effectively? Or are there ALOT of cast members out there?
I haven't been there in years so I don't remember X3

When I head down there in a few months for my internship, I hope I can see a few people here!! I'm going to be doing merchandising so I guess I'll definitely see alot of people!!

Oh believe me... first you think you're never going to get involved with pins... then you see one you think is cool and you buy it... then you go to the park and they give you a free lanyard with Year of a Million Dreams pins on it... next thing you know, a couple of months have passed and suddenly you have this massive dent in your checking account and envelopes coming from eBay or other places constantly!
