I want that soooooooo much. I adore Tiki stuff. But holy cow, what's with the prices? I know pin sets have always been expensive, but $150 for 6 pins? Ouch!!! Looks like I'll be letting these go.
I also really wanted the Stitch autumn set, I love Stitch and I love autumn. And the pirate series, I collect pirate pins. But I will hopefully catch a few of them down the road on eBay, can't do it right now.
Do any of you buy and re-sell?
Disneystore.com sells some really nice pins. They tend to be larger than the run of the mill pins you would see in the parks. The Tiki set is limited to 125 sets. So there are rougly 125 of each of those pins (there are likely a couple production or artist proof pins too). I will keep an eye on the set and if it goes on sale I will let you know. The pirate pins are LE250. Some of them will likely last til the next sale, but some (especially Tink, Stitch and Jessica) will probably sell out before then.

Highway Robbery!! I doubt they'll sell many, no matter how low they put the price (because it most likely won't go very low)

Eventually all the Le100 sets do sell out. Many sell out within minutes. Sometimes they last until a sale and can go quite low. Last sale some le100 sets went around 55% off.

It could be worse though. In the past LE100 sets were more expensive. During the Disney Auction days some LE100 pins would go for about $50 a pin.

Does it seem that the pin craze has dwindled? I know at DL they don't have the pin carts and I wonder if that's because people aren't buying like they used to?

I think with the economy being the way it is, pin collecting has slowed down some. A lot of people are selling their traders and even collections on dizpins right now. Things are taking longer to sell out overall (with the exception of the occasional le100 pin set). I am surprised for example that the Tinker Bell pirate coin pin is still around as well as the Tink Countdown to Halloween pin. Last year they most likely would have been gone by now.

Neverneverland, "that dude" is Squirt, a character that was to be the "host" of World of Color before he was axed. Still, a pin was created for him by WDI so he lives on in spirit.

    Aghhh, cool!

DF28, that is part of a set from WDW, obs. there are similar pins for all 3 of them. There are probably more in the entire set, but my WDW pin expert is still sleeping so I can't ask him LOL

Nice to see what the pin bag looks like. Too bad the Mickey is so small, but I'm glad the Mickey comes with it, even though you didn't order the personalization. Hopefully they will start adding more characters to the roster.

Purchased a pin that I didn't think I'd ever be seeing today. Should be in my hands in about two weeks... was too excited to wait that long and got a pic of the actual pin already.

    Very, very excited!!!
