The following are all ebay purchases... the only place I can get my sign and logo fix.

    Main Street USA!

    Fantasyland!

    Adventureland!

    Tomorrowland!

I love those pins. They're for Hong Kong Disneyland.

A new favorite, the Disneyland Railroad logo:

And my favorite of the new batch is... the Matterhorn!
Very cool. I love that Mickey Record pin.

    Re: Recent Pin Aquisition(s) thread!

Time for more pins! I got eleven from the same seller on ebay and I literally went nuts just buying up whatever I could win.

Here's a cool C and D ticket pin. I like the D ticket one because it's Tomorrowland and it has People Mover on it! I won the C ticket for $10.51 and the D ticket for $5.50.

I never seen Cinemagique but it was a logo pin so I had to have it. I won it for $5.50.

I thought this was a cool pin: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea with a date. I love historical type pins that bring context to these films and attractions. I won this for $2.92!!

Next up is the Living Seas pin for Epcot. This one wasn't cheap... $11.56.

Monstropolis Cab Co from our DCA ride. Won for only $3.75!

And of course there's the regular Monsters Inc signage art. Won for $4.24. Cheaper than most regular priced pins!

Then I got 3 Disneyland attraction poster pins. These are prettier and larger than I expected them to be. They're really impressive! for those who can't afford to own all of the posters, they might be fine with something like this.

It's a Small World I won for $10.84. Stupid bidders!

Big Thunder Mountain cost me the most... $13.61.

Rocket Jets was only $6.29 but I love it more than Big Thunder.

And the creme of the creme. A super old Captain Eo pin for only $7.50.

So that's 11 pins that you CAN'T buy at Disneyland for a total of $96.59 after tax and shipping. It comes to $8.78 per pin. Not too shabby right?

    Re: Recent Pin Aquisition(s) thread!

I'm not a hardcore pin collector, but I'm starting to get into it.

    My personal rules are simple:
    1. All pins must come from a Disney park (i.e. not online, etc.)
    2. I personally have to buy them (i.e. no gifts, trades, etc.)
    3. Most pins represent a theme park or an attraction (i.e. no plain characters, etc.)
These rules are helpful in that it prevents me from going crazy and spending hundreds and hundreds of dollars on them!! I know my collector personality and without these rules, I'd be broke about now.

Anyhow, this was the most I bought on one trip. I was SO happy they had the new Haunted Mansion pins out in time for my visit. The Hitchhiking Ghosts and the Mansion by itself pins were essential and the Madame Leota pin was just too cool to pass up. I believe I got 3 of the 5 in the series. The other two in the series just didn't do it for me.

I was also jazzed about seeing the new 3D pins. While at a whopping $15 a piece, they are very, very cool. I bought the Haunted Mansion pin with Chip & Dale pretty much hours after the plane landed. I waited until the last day to finally bite the bullet and get the Matterhorn with Harold & Stitch pin. It wasn't that I didn't like it, but dropping another $15 on another pin took a lot of consideration.

I don't follow the pin scene too closely, but I sure do love the new Pin Festival of Dreams line. So many of them were good, but I only ended up with the Monsters Inc. ride one since it's become one of my more favorite attractions in DCA.

To round off the bunch, I got Tower of Terror w/ Stitch, Space Mountain w/ Mickey & Stitch and Pirates w/ skeleton & seagull pins. There are so many good Pirates ones, but that scene of the ride is one of my favorites. Now if they would only make an Old Bill w/ kitties pin!

That's a good idea to concentrate on specific types of pins. My problem is that my specifics aren't specific enough....too many different types I like to collect. My one rule is that I have to like it.

Besides some blind pin boxes in WDW, which got me very frustrated, since I kept getting the same pins. I wanted the splash Mountain ones from 2 sets, but kept missing. No more blind sets for me. I only bought 2 pins in WDW (not counting winning the dream pins)

I got some great pins last night at PTN!! I got 5 trash cans from the cast series years ago. I finished 4 or 5 original cast lanyard sets. and some other odds and ends. Then in the mail today I got the DLR Paris PTN Lumpy pin...that's about $500 in pins that I have traded for in the last couple of days. And I counted my pins and I am at the 1,200 pin mark.

Here are pics of my recent additions.... I went a bit overboard at WDW.... Almost ran out of room on the lanyard!!
These are dark, didn't realize that, sorry!

Yes, we won the lanyard, yay!!!!

Closer view. The pins on the right, from the Pixie license plate to the million dreams are ones Jeff or I traded for. I bought the rest!

tHere are 2 more that are on their cards and not here - a Christmas Tink I bought at the outlet and one of Tink and the castle.

Here's a pic of my whole collection - well, the ones I have up at least
Note the difference a year makes in the pins I acquired at WDW last oct (landyard on the right vs. the ones this Sept (on the left) Addiction, what addiction???
    Good morning, son

Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
    It was pain
    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

Not some of Disneypins best artwork. Tom O Malley looks a little rough.

Here's a few Indy Pins as of late.
The one on the right glows in the dark and the bridge falls from either side.

These next two are older pins as well.

There is a seller on Ebay who has a plethura of Cast member pins, WDW pins, and of course Disneyland. I have seen that pin go for 40 dollars on Ebay. I got it for just under 10 bucks.
She had bunch of Indy pins, which I love to collect. Some of them went too high. So I passed until I can find them elsewhere.
