Today was my first EVER wristband experience! I was in DL for the last 5 days and I came away today with the IASW Piece of History pin! (Actually 2, because, why not?)

Piece of Disney History - "it's a small world"

And, a couple of days ago, I got this Splash Mtn with Walt pin at DL.

Passholder Exclusive - Brer Rabbit with Walt Disney

And, a few others, but, those were my big scores that I was most happy about.

Excellent and congratulations. You might want to hold onto that PoH for awhile. That is going to be a good trader. You'll have to tell us more about your wristband experience in the chit chat thread.

I went with my wife and son and we all got out Piece of Small World pins too. After that we had to leave since we had people coming over in the morning.

Yes, you must! Excellent you got the pins... I did the wristband event for the first time in January, and it was definitely interesting. Met new ppl, and waited in line a heck of a lot longer than I thought I would be haha.

It was interesting and I ended up chatting away with people too. Seems a lot knew each other. It's quite a little community, isn't it? I found them to be really sweet. (The ones I met anyway.) There was a gal in a wheelchair though that several of them said, "Watch out for her. She will literally run you DOWN." For a PIN? Are you kidding me? Sheesh!

Some are very nice, yes. Others, like the wheelchair lady... aye.... I think I saw her there that day... she was yelling at someone haha! I got to talking with an older gentleman with a straw hat and Monstro pins on his lanyard and his wife, and a few newer ppl to the "waiting in a super long line for a pin" concept like I was. All nice people, and fun to talk to. I also enjoyed going down into the Rocket Rods queue... nostalgia, even if its like the Tomorrowland dungeon hahahaha. Did they have those cards w/ letters on them that ppl were holding in line?

They are for the people that can not get down the steps from what I understand. Once the card gets to the end of the line someone with the matching card gets to go in. Basically if you are in a wheelchair or have some other handicap you have to wait just as long as everyone else.

Two new pins from DS.com for me.

    Fantasia 2000 Firebird Suite Sprite

Art Noveau Tinker Bell. It is very hard to get a picture of with all the reflective surfaces.

Yea, and boy did those signs create a ruckus w/ the group a little farther back. They complaiiiiiined, complaiiiiiined complained about them to the poor Disney host trying to keep them calm. I'm not sure why they were arguing about the signs, though....

And, you should have to wait. There's no reason not to. I have a handicap placard, but, don't need a wheelchair and I waited with everyone else.
