The Disney Pin Trading Team is excited to offer a special promotion starting July 1, 2007 at Disney's Pin Traders located at the Downtown Disney® Marketplace.
For every $35.00 spent on Disney Pins or Disney Trading Accessories at Disney's Pin Traders only, Guests can add one (1) special "Cast Lanyard Pin" to their purchase for $1.00.* Guests may select their desired pin(s) from a special pin assortment of four pins.
These special "Cast Lanyard Pins" are direct from the Disney Pin Vault. The designs were created for the first collection of "Cast Lanyard Pins" (now known as "Hidden Mickey Pins") in 2002. These pins were sampled but never ordered or distributed for trading at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Guests had a sneak preview of these pins at Disney's Pin Celebration 2004 - A Family Pin Gathering.
"We had a great response from Guests the first time we introduced this promotion in Spring 2006," said Steven Miller, Project Manager for Disney Pin Trading. "We wanted Guests to have another opportunity to add these pins to their collections."
Four pins from the original ten designs were carefully selected for this promotion based on Guest feedback.
"We received the most requests for these four pins," continued Steven. These pins do not feature a "Hidden Mickey" icon like current pins Cast Members use for trading with Guests. The "Hidden Mickey" concept was not introduced at the time of their design. The backstamp on each pin contains "Cast Lanyard Collection," which is one of the original names of these special pins.
