Re: Pixar Films, best to worst.

Because Pixar films are amazing, my list is part individual and part groupings:

    13. A Bugs Life
    13. Cars 2
    11. Toy Story 2
    11. Cars
    9. Brave
(This is where it steps up an echelon for me)
    7. Toy Story
    7. The Incredibles
    5. Finding Nemo
    5. Toy Story 3
(Jumps one more echelon here for my favs)
    4. Wall-E
    2. Monsters, Inc.
    2. Up
    1. Ratatouille

This is today lol ... Tomorrow, the top 3 can be totally switched around, but my echelons or levels are all pretty consistent; sometimes for pure laughs and friendship Monsters, Inc. is first, sometimes Up is first for its overall sentiment and character development, but Ratatouille is first today because I think it might be the best written, dialogue and originality ... I also have a feeling that Monsters University will join that top tier ;-)

Re: Pixar Films, best to worst.

    1. A Bugs Life (Has been my favorite since I first saw it, don't question it)
    2. Wall E (Just love the Love Story, so brilliantly done)
3,4,5 Toy Story, Toy Story 2, Toy Story 3 (three of the best movies ever, just so amazingly good)
    6. The Incredibles (Love the family dynamic and the idea of a Superhero family)
    7. Up (One of the most emotional beginnings to a movie ever, does have a couple of "dead" spots though)
    8. Monsters Inc (I like this one better every time I see it, it moves up and down on the list)
    9. Ratatouille (I love/dislike different parts of this film, but it somehow all comes together)
    10. Cars 2 (Maybe it's because I wasn't expecting anything from it, but absolutely loved it)
    11. Cars (Beautiful Scenery, great characters)
    12. Finding Nemo (The most overrated Pixar movie. Beautiful to look at, story we've seen a million times)

    Haven't seen Brave yet

Re: Pixar Films, best to worst.

    1) Wall-E *** For the first 55 minutes, it just may be the best movie ever made. Sorry Orson.

    2) Toy Story 3 *** Has there ever been a more beautiful ending to a movie?

    3) Toy Story *** I still remember walking out of a theater in 1995 stunned by what I had just seen

    4) The Incredibles *** What? A fun Pixar movie that doesn't intentionally try to make you cry?

    5) Up *** Beauty and imagination in harmony. Just a hard movie to watch over and over

    6) Toy Story 2 *** A fine entertaining film sandwiched between 1 and 3 which were a little better.

    7) Ratatouille *** See Up - kind of the same deal

    8) Cars *** Talking cars? I didn't want to like it but I kind of did.

    9) Monsters Inc. *** Strange movie experience. Seen it 6 times or so. Sometimes I like it, sometimes not so much.

    10) Finding Nemo *** This one screamed the Pixar formula of a misfit in peril a little too loudly

    11) A Bug's Life *** I haven't seen it for so long that I forgot what it was about. Don't remember hating it though.

    12) Cars 2 *** This movie I did hate. Visually stunning but such a weak lazy effort in storytelling. A major disappointment

I hate to even list Cars 2 because it is so bad and I didn't rate Brave because I haven't seen it yet.

To me, Ratatouille is a nearly perfect film. Deep and well crafted story, beautiful animation, true artistry, gorgeous musical score and lots of heart. For me, it is matched perhaps only by Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

Re: Pixar Films, best to worst.

    1. Up - Had me crying in the first 10 min. An original and creative story. Fantastic.
    2. Toy Story 3 - So nostalgic and happy and sad.
    3. The Incredibles - I love this superhero family. Really hoping for a sequel.
    4. Finding Nemo - Funny movie and I enjoyed the underwater animation.
    5. Cars - Clever and fun.
    6. Toy Story - ingenious
    7. Toy Story 2

    Not so favorite Pixar films:

    8. Ratatouille - I really like the music. Rats in the kitchen will always be a little gross to me, though.
    9. Wall E - My daughter loves these robots. I enjoyed the love story but didn't care for much of the rest.
    10. Brave - Unappealing characters, unoriginal storyline, recycled ending, but good animation.
    11. Cars 2 - It was missing the heart and soul of the first movie. It was a let down.
    12. A Bugs Life - didn't really care for it.
    13. Monsters Inc. - annoys me.

    12. Brave
    13. Cars 2
    14. Dreamworks movies (I couldn't resist)

It got harder and harder to choose as I went down the list.

It is interesting how different the lists are. I did not like Wall-E at all and some have it at the top of their list!

    3. Finding Nemo
    4. Up
    5. Toy Story 3
    6. Monsters Inc
    7 The Incredibles
    8. Cars

My excuse is that I studied, analyzed, obsessed on film for a worthless college degree. Tastes after all that exposure change from the usual casual movie-goer and you begin to appreciate all they tried to do with WALL-E and then some. It was a bold concept and they did an amazing job with it. It's certainly not conventional so I'm not going to "unfriend" anyone for not liking it. haha

The Incredibles, however, is an AMAZING film so I can't possibly imagine how anyone can hate that one.

This being said, the worst Pixar movie is still better than most other movies out there.

    2.Wall-E
3.Toy Story Trilogy(Yeah it might be cheating, but I can't decide which I like better)
    4.Monsters Inc
    5.A Bugs Life
    6.The Incredibles
    7.Finding Nemo
    8.Ratatoullie
    9.Brave
    10.Cars

Cars 2 doesn't count. It was just a marketing ploy.

Marketing ploy or not, I think a lot of you are being REALLY hard on Cars 2. If you guys want "bad movie", take a look at any minute of Adam Sandler's Jack and Jill.

(I don't mind if it's on the bottom of the list, but excluding it? this is a best to worst list after all. SO INCLUDE IT.)

Honestly I really thought TS3 was more a marketing ploy than Cars 2. Or maybe I'm still bugged about the complete lack of character development from 2 to 3.
