Not sure if this is legit or not. Considering Finding Nemo is among my least favorite Pixar movies I'm not sure if I can support this.
I don't think it is a joke:

The Pixar animated film “Finding Nemo” will spawn a follow-up big-screen movie titled “Finding Dory,” Walt DisneyDIS +1.00% Studios Publicity announced today. The new movie is due out November 25, 2015.
Ellen DeGeneres, who provided the voice of Dory, an affable but forgetful blue tang fish, in the original film, said in a statement that she had been waiting a long time for the movie to be launched. “I’m not mad it took this long. I know the people at Pixar were busy creating ‘Toy Story 16.’ But the time they took was worth it. The script is fantastic. And it has everything I loved about the first one: It’s got a lot of heart, it’s really funny, and the best part is—it’s got a lot more Dory.”
I also am of the opinion that Finding Nemo is my least favorite Pixar film. It's a by the numbers misfit in perilous circumstances story from Pixar but the formula is so predictable. And I thought Ellen De Generes was annoying.
I subscribe to actor/filmmaker/writer Albert Brooks (highly recommended) Twitter feed who also voiced Nemo's dad Marlin -
I agree with DisneylandTraveler that it was my least favorite movie but the lawsuit always chaffed me more than the movie. Although this guy lost his lawsuit, I've looked at the evidence and comparison shots that were out on the internet back when this came out. I have to admit, it was pretty damning evidence. Disney's attorney's proved more powerful in the end, but the taste of ripoff always stuck in my mouth.
If they can make an original movie for Dory then more power to them. I welcome it. A little more Ellen, a little less Brooks.
