To end our trip to WDW the week before Christmas, we decided to take in a day of Sea World to see the decorations and experience the Polar Express overlay in Wild Arctic.
A wreath on a palm tree....how Florida is that?
Big tree just inside the entrance
Random decorations throughout the park were themed well to the ocean and each store even.
Swim seahorses, swim! Da dum, da dum, da dum
You could have your picture taken with Shamu in front of this sleigh...he was on a break at this time.
Elves playing games with kids
On to the Polar Express!!
We chose the walking experience but you could ride the motion simulator as well.
The room was done like the little boy's room in the movie. The movie portion was shown on a screen dressed as his window with the radiator under it. When the train shows up on the street in the film, steam blows out of the top of the radiator in time with the engine.
As you exit the room the signs direct you down a present lined hallway and you smell the scent of fresh cut Christmas trees...
As you come around the corner into the center of the North Pole where Santa and the large tree are, you walk into this wonderful smell of hot chocolate and cookies!
The Santa was fabulous! He looked just like the one in the film!
As you exit, you are reminded of the true message of the story.
Of course we took in some of the animal exhibits before leaving for our drive home and I caught this quick pic of one of the new baby penguin chicks under his mother.
