The official article and column will be coming tomorrow, but for everyone who wants my "first take" here it is....
I LOVED IT. I have been watching this thing rise from the earth for 2 years now. I had INCREDIBLY high expectations. But I believe my expectations were placed in the right spot.
What I expected from Brian Morrow's creative team was an experience that would transport me to the bottom of the globe and make me fall in love with the residents of the world's largest continent.
To say Antarctica is a "RIDE" is not fair, or accurate. It is an immersive experience that through various mediums, and one portion of the experience is a short ride, instills empathy, compassion, and respect for these incredible animals that survive and thrive in the harshest place on the planet.
The land, the queue, the pre-shows, the ride portion the animal habitat, all add up to a whole component that is an entire experience. If you separate out any one of these components, it feels empty and lacking, but as a whole it feels incredible, vast, awesome and wonderful.
Wow to SeaWorld, wow to Brian Morrow, and I can't wait to go back tomorrow!
