See, they could tear down their white elephants from the 2008 Summer Olympics, and build the park there!

    DisneyMoon.
The five worst crimes in the world, in no particular order, are genocide, rape, murder, torture, and flash photography on Space Mountain.

There's plenty of American symbols in the UAE and they've never been bombed so that's just a canard.

It's just too hot in Dubai and Abu Dhabi for any outdoor theme parks, which is why AD's Ferrari Theme Park is all indoors except for the ride element of the roller coasters and bounce ride. It's the only way the region can have a year-round theme park that would not have to close for five months of the year. That said, AD has plenty of cash and loves prestige projects so it's conceivable they could offer Iger $6+ billion to build a deluxe indoor Disney park. Or Qatar could easily pony up that money as well since they're competing with the UAE for mega-projects. There's over 20 million bored-out-of-their-minds Saudis next door, most with large young families and considerable disposable incomes ready to be dumped into Disney's coffers, in addition to all the wealthy young families of the smaller Gulf states. The Arabic language Disney channel is very popular in the Gulf region. The Arab region is not just the Gaza Strip so don't make the common mistake of extrapolating from there.

What, there is more to it than the Gaza Strip? I thought it was all the same place.

If I am not mistaken, there one where plans for a Disneyland resort in Mexico!

    anyone knows more about this?

it seems possible, as there is more population in Mexico city than in Australia.

Iger said specifically at the shareholders meeting last week, that there are no other Disney theme parks being looked at, beyond the new one on mainland China. Furthermore he stated that the US theme parks are serving part of Mexico, and although Disney appreciates how well received the Disney brand is in Mexico, no Disney Park in Mexico is being considered.

Don't think of a gun as a weapon.

My dream would be to have a Disneyland outside the Grape vine. In tejon. There is so much land that they could use and expand on.

But I know that will never happen! Plus I think the California Goverment owns the land

Would still like to see one established in Canada, preferably in the Vancouver/lower mainland area. Even if there was a park here, I'd still go to Anaheim. I'd like to see one here as a source of much needed jobs.

According to a wikipedia article, the world's 4 current Alpha cities are New York, Tokyo, Paris and London. All except New York have a Disney Resort a train ride away from the city center....wether that's a suburban rail, subway, or long distance high speed train.

I realize the majority of metro New Yorkers fly or drive down to Orlando to visit WDW numerous times in their lives, but what if, what if, there could be a Disney Resort in the NY metro area?

If it was up to me, every resident of Coney Island, including the gated community of Sea Gate, west of the Stillwell Ave subway station, would be evicted per eminent domain. Every building razed. Land filled as needed. The Disney can build a mini-resort featuring an shopping-dining-entertainment district, 2 or 3 hotels.DVC resorts, and a theme park. Preferably, a DisneySea style park.

I could see myself purchasing an annual pass and taking NJTransit trains into Penn Station then the subway out to this Disney Resort every weekend!

    One can dream.

New York won't get one. I'd say that North America is done.
