That is so cool what castle did they use afterall
That castle looks to be huge. It looks very similar to WDW and Tokyo's castle.
and theres no main street
to me it looks like the castle at the beginning of disney films
it so beautiful i just wish they told us some of the rides and i think their is a main street it different that Dumbo is in front of the castle maybe the dark rides are in back?? i think there a pirate land there but this area just look amazing and awesome
It look like tomorrow land has a good look to it and i also thing the dark rides are under the castle

InsideTheMagic is reporting the following:
Disney holds groundbreaking for Shanghai Disneyland, offers first look at new castle concept art | Inside the MagicIger revealed that Shanghai Disneyland will not have a Main Street USA, like all other Disneyland-style parks have. In its place, guests will pass through an 11-acre entrance area featuring water, trees, and costumed characters. The Shanghai Disneyland castle pictured above will be Disney’s biggest to date.
Apparently there will be four lands total.

The new castle looks to have a tower inspired of the castle in Rapunzel... otherwise it looks like WDW once again. Now HKDL will feel even smaller.
The fact that Mainstreet USA is missing and that it will be repleced with meets and greets is bad news atleast to me. They really should have some kind of transition from reality to fantasy. It could have been a Mainstreet China (from the old times), a short one alteast...
...and notice that the "Pirates" mountain is gone.............

The castle appears to be a baroque version of WDW's Cinderella castle... quite interesting.
I do agree that the missing Main Street sounds like a bad idea. The park-like design works for Fantasyland (DLP) but even then it's full of the usual attractions. They could have at least gone with a 1930's Main Street, so we could all visit Club Obi-Wan, Shanghai's answer to Walt's and Club 33. No?
This is going to be interesting...a park without a Main Street is going to feel so weird!!! I am eager to see more concept art other than an oddly embellished Cinderella, oh I'm sorry, Storybook Castle.
I hate to be one of the complainers, but knowing Iger and his insistence on technology, this is probably going to be one big interactive blob of a park...BUT, I will wait to see more until I form any more of an opinion.
Here is a quick side-by-side comparison I made of an artist rendering of Shanghai Disneyland's Storybook Castle (center) with Cinderella Castle at Walt Disney World (left) and the castle in Walt Disney Pictures logo (right).

Hey, lets say something positive instead of once again pointing out every negative thing you see. They just announced a new Disneyland after all! This doesn't happen too often.
It looks like it's going to be a completely new style MK park, which in some ways makes me happy. The typical MK style was starting to get stale. I cannot wait to visit in 2015.
