Re: Complete List of Lands @ Shanghai Disneyland

    A. They clearly want more "amusement park" attractions and more of a park like feel to the grounds.

    B. They maybe thought Disneyland's jumble of Africa, the Caribbean, South Pacific and South America was a confusing theme, and in a way, they're right.

Agreed....in a way they were right. On the other hand, I think they were thinking too deeply for what their average guest would be critical about.

We come from different cultural reference points. Exotic? New York, New Mexico and Florence Italy. Not exotic? Vietnam or Canton.

Indeed, this is the intended thematic feel that Disney desires.

It is quite a potpourri, though I somehow feel that most guests are not that critical.

We do come from different cultural refference points. Vietnam and Canton are definitely not exotic. You and I are exotic, in our own flashy cool ways.

I would guess Treasure Cove will be a land with a main attraction, like Carsland.

It will have its rumored super POTC as the highlight, and then a few small attractions around it. That allows Adventure Isle to have another big attractions of its own. creating room for two focal points.

Toy Story Mania will have the crowds going crazy with joy!

The beautiful Hong Kong Disneyland is enough to excite my interest in anticip[ation of making the flight to China one day. Shanghai Disneyland is going to be even more phenomal.

There's hardly a a land at any park or esort the world over that compares with Cars Land.

You just jolted Woody off of his horse and made Buzz cry lightyears of tears.

It's ver-r-r-ry intriging. Just imagine a a possibility two lands as rollicking and full of fun as a traditional Adventureland. A faster paced and "drop-centric" Pirates will be a steady-on adrenaline rush!
Toy Story is a carnival. If children like it or not has not much to do with it. It is not as good as those things that makes people become Disneyfans. Children would like free icecreams being handed as well. It would be much cheaper for Disney.

From what I understand there will not be a drop on the new pirates ride.

The plans I saw for the pirate ride not only had a drop but also had scene with a whirlpool. I have not heard anything about either one being removed from the attraction

If a teddy bear in a movie can be a daring exotic dancer, I say that like the song. "Heaven knows - anything goes!

Yeah. I'm hoping a uniquely themed Indy or Dinosaur ride, or maybe even a Soaring Under Water ride.

A fast paced Pirates ride that is drop-centric is quite possible.

Children do sommetimes make a big difference in attraction popularity if parents are big kids at heart.

Just the thought of that whirlpool makes me giddy!

I am not sure this is as much about Disney magic as it is about Disney putting its influence in Mainland China to get more audience/money. There are imagineers, and there are bean counters! Where do you think the Disney heart is today?

I am only eight years old, or at least that's the age I channel at Disneyland. I like the idea of Toy Story Land. And I would love to live on Mickey Avenue at any age.
