I think "Disney magic" is being served up with the highest priority. Profit is rightfully a priority as well....but the Chinese leaders know that their masses deserve to be given more opportunity to live happy and productive lives.

You and I both, Dobbys\Closet! Mickey Avenue sounds like it will be filled with fanciful delight in every corner....not to mention extremely unique.

I looked it up on bab,La Dictionary, and the noun for the word "land" as in realm is "Guotu". That definitely sounds more like Chinese.

Milao Da Jie (Mickey Avenue) will replace Main Street USA.

Cai Bao Hai Wan (Treasure Cove) and Mao Xian Dao (Adventure Isle) (two lands) will be SDLs version of Adventureland.

The remaining lands will be HuanXiagGuotu (Fantasyland), MingtianGuotu (Tomorrowland) and Wan Ju Gu Shi Guotu (Toy Story Land0).

In addition, the Hub will be dubbed: Hua Yuan de XiaNg Xiang Li (Gardens of Imagination)....Sweet!

Are you using Google Translator to come up with these? You need an understanding of the grammar rules of a particular language to be able to put the words in the right order and context.

bab,La Dictionary worked perfectly in putting the word "land" as in "realm" in the right context. As far as I know, The other words were also in the correct context, althoughn I used other translators. I tried the Google Translator, but it only translated in Chinese symbles. The words for each land might be out of order in relationship to the parts of speech in the Chinese dialect, but I looked them up individually.

Beware doing that, I know it doesn't work past translating a single word, even then some knowledge of Chinese helps you select the correct choice.

Right. What's important to note and for people to realize is that you're just doing a loose literal translation. This isn't what the Disney company is "officially" naming these lands in Shanghai Disneyland. You will need to get a Chinese park map and someone who can read the language tell you what it translates to.

You might be close on some of these but there are so many words for "land" in Chinese. "GuoTu" is just one... each one has a more specific meaning, but in English its all the same generic "land".

Yes. It gives you a rough idea, but it's still interesting as part of it is likely to be close.

It would be fun to research out what the company is naming the lands in Chinese.

Toy Story Land will probably be the equivalent of Toontown. If they have Midway Mania, it's fine.

Toy Story Land will be almost very same boring thing as in HKDL. Atleast it made HKDL a bit more unique.

For Shanghai DL to be as unique as the Chinese have been touting it to be, one would fervantly hope they would avoid as many cloned/mediocre attractions as possible.
