Vintage Six Flags photos (early to mid '70's)

I love vintage amusement park photos and thought you all might as well.
So I raided my mom's photo albums over the past few weeks and scanned her Six Flags photos. The first three are from 1973 (I believe) from Six Flags over Georgia.

Here is my mom standing by what I believe is called the Scream Machine.

The rest of the photos are from my home park, Six Flags over Mid-America (now Six Flags St. Louis). I think they are taken in 1974-75

I wonder if my Grandma was the lost parent. Knowing her, it wouldn't surprise me!

My mom with her niece and nephews at the Six Flags entrance. It still looks like this but not as clean.

I miss the old animals shows they used to have at Six Flags. Now Tony Hawk's Big Spin is where this used to be...

My mom and her nephew, Scott, on the skyway. I wonder what my mom bought that is in that bag....

    What is this ride???

Hope you enjoyed the photos! I might find more in the photo albums.

Thanks for the photos. The wooden coaster at SFOG is Great American Scream Machine. It's great to see what it looked like way back when. It didn't really look much different in 2005 when we were at the park.

Nice photos. Scream Machine looks the same, but the area around it has changed very much!
