Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters.
On many of the rides you can put your bag on the loading platform while you ride, but you are taking the risk of getting your stuff stolen if you do that. The park is not responsible for anything you get stolen.
In fact, I noticed a few weeks ago that on most rides they are not enforcing the locker role (even on X2) and allowing people to clutter the station with their stuff.
Not sure if this was only because the park wasn't busy or what but I only used a locker on Tatsu, Scream and Riddlers.
My advice, save up a few dollar bills and get a locker on the rides that allow them.

In a secured (zippered, for example) pocket, or with a non-riding member of your party.
Otherwise, use the all day lockers, or the $1 short-term lockers. You aren't going to have your camera out & rolling while on the ride (unless you want to get yourself ejected, and/or lose your camera) so there's no loss in using them.

You may also just ask permission of the ride attendant if you can take the camera with you. You can videotape also if they allow you to. As long as the ride attendant says it is OK, then you can do it.
