NEW FOR 2013 at SFMM, Full Throttle: The World’s Tallest and Fastest Looping Coaster

I was at MM last Monday getting my new Gold Pass (BEST PRICE EVER!!!) and just after I had exited the parking lot bound Parking Lot Tram (1st. stop) it took off at what seemed was Full Throttle (unintended shameless plug) over that bumpy road. It's always a fun, seemingly dangerous ride where I hold on with both hands! As it took a small turn, a fully loaded stroller (minus child) flew out of the passenger area behind the driver and crashed to the ground. I spun around as the tram practically skidded to a stop and watched as this lady jumped out, packed everything back together, and loaded her stuff back onto the tram where it, once again, took off at high speed. She reloaded her stuff with such speed and calm that I'm convinced that this happens to her on every trip to MM.

I keep waiting for that Parking Lot Tram to get it's listing as one of MM's thrill rides right alongside Tatsu, X2, and Goliath. I would die laughing if, one day, I was coming down the front hill after exiting Viper and saw that they had devoted one of the "coaster arches" (paintings of the park's various coasters, and the year they debuted on a wall containing arches with a coaster painted inside each arch as you head toward the entrance of the park from Viper) to the Parking Lot Tram. I don't think that many people would contest it's inclusion. I wouldn't!

I agree! Full Throttle looks fun but SFMM has a chance to do something epic.

And if you look at the layout, it looks like this was designed for the Log Jammer spot.

And as somebody else pointed out to me, this park managed to keep their log flume along with this coaster.

With the crane so big i bet they wont have to move it for construction
and its going to be here for a long time if they put wood down

The ride looks great. I have never visited SFMM, maybe this will make me want to visit.

Amazingly, "yolo coaster"'s construction is ahead of GL's and Drop of Doom's pace!

^ They still have a LOT to do in the surrounding area though. They are saying the track will be complete by early April but I wouldn't expect testing to begin until at least mid-April.

Mid April testing would still be pretty good and put them on target for a Memorial Day opening.


However, since I'm expecting this to have an extremely poor capacity, it may be wise to wait until WCB to try it out.
