West Coast Bash at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Hey there MiceChat. I know there are quite a few So Cal locals here, and while an event at SFMM isn't quite the "Disney Experience", the new management team at the park is really pushing to make some significant improvements to customer service and the guest experience that has been lacking over the past few years.

Anyway, they are hosting the "West Coast Bash" event on Sunday, March 9th. If you have a season pass the event portion of the day is only $20. If you don't have a season pass the park has have offered a special one-day admission ticket for $18.50, which makes the entire day $38.50 total.

They are going to be doing quite a bit and you'll get your moneys worth if you're interested.

Here are a few more details and a link to the flyer -

I'm so there, if it's anything like the DVD release Party you had, it'll be quite an amazing time!

    Exclusive Ride Time

The select rides will only be open to the participants of WCB before and after the parks regularly scheduled operating hours.

    Sounds like a good time.

Won't be there since I have a date with my woman to see Wicked that day.

Yes, sorry, I should have been more clear on this forum since it's a term frequently used in the coaster clubs. Hector explained it correctly. Basically we'll have a number of coasters to our own to ride.

    Hope you can make it!

Re: West Coast Bash at Six Flags Magic Mountain

^because for $38.50 you get all the perks AND a full day admission to the park. (this also includes two meals, a t-shirt and all the extra ride time) And even if you don't do the extra $20 full day event, you can still get the morning ERT and a full day's admission to the park for just $18.50.

I'm not sure what you mean. It's not cheaper if you don't have a pass.

For the full day event it is:

$20.00 if you have a season pass.
$38.50 if you do not have a season pass.

    Am I explaining this correctly?

Re: West Coast Bash at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Sorry. You said 20$ with a season pass, 18$ without. I think you mean 20$ with the pass, and an additional 18$ without. I looked at the PDF and it cleared my confusion. The 20$ only covers the event, not the entry into the park.

I still cant believe SFMM charges 15$ for PARKING! I have a season pass, and thats the only thing keeping me from going to the park more then 2 times a year. I ride a motorcycle, and they wont even give me a brake on parking. 15$ to park a motorcycle? Its not like I take any room, and they make me park by the buses, under tree's that drop gunk on my bike all day.

Re: West Coast Bash at Six Flags Magic Mountain

Yeah, it was kind of confusing in your post Robb, if you don't look at the PDF.

I read it at first as "$20 if you have a Season Pass for the full day and $18.50 without a pass".

But looking at the PDF it made more sense for some reason.

Of course, you know I don't read stuff.

    So for the record:

If you have a Six Flags Season Pass your cost is $20. This is for the EVENT including the ERT, Meals, DVD viewing and everything else that was mentioned in the first post.

If you DO NOT have a Six Flags Season Pass your cost for the event is $20. In addition, Six Flags is offering you a one day ticket for only $18.50 for a TOTAL cost of $38.50.

Re: West Coast Bash at Six Flags Magic Mountain

I have made the first post a bit more clear. I sometimes forget (and this isn't your guys fault) that the lingo with coaster enthusaists is sometimes different. The cost of the "WCB event" is $20 , the cost of "park admission" is $18.50. If you have as season pass, there is no need to pay the $18.50 admission.

    I hope that's a little more clear.

I still cant believe SFMM charges 15$ for PARKING!
It's not THAT bad when you consider the parking charge for any big city, sporting event, or concert venue is at LEAST $20 now, and you don't even get a tram service or parking attendant.

Even WDW was up to $11 on our last visit, so SFMM isn't that far off.
