I havent stayed recently, but I have in the past, from what I recall, it was a pretty nice hotel, I was just in awe by the hotels theming and the red eyes that glow at night on the gargoyles up on the balconies, not too far of a walk to the parks, so all in all from what I recall it was a nice hotel, but that was years ago. Hope everything goes great!

I stayed there recently and enjoyed it. It's close to the parks with clean and simple rooms. The rooms are a good size for at least four people with a large bathroom, sofa and small fridge. The price was decent for what they offered and the closeness to the parks, as well as no charge for parking like some places around the Resort area.

I enjoyed my stay and plan on being there again.

We stayed there a couple of years ago and the room was not pleasant. Water trickled from the shower, some of the electrical outlets did not work and the carpet looked like it needed a good cleaning. Since this was a last minute stay it was OK. The next day we went to another hotel which was part of our vacation package. I don't know how it has changed since then.

When I went a few months ago I had none of the above issues in the room I stayed in. I think they re-did some things since then. On my last stay I know the elevators closest to the lobby were out of service because they were adding a new interior it, but it was fixed by the end of the day, and they did have another elevator on the opposite end that was working though.

At the very least you will have a lot shorter walk to Disneyland at Tropicana.

We stayed there several years ago on our first trip down with our 3yo and didn't have any problems. The Castle Inn is about 2-3 blocks (big blocks) from the crossing. That is probably the main reason we haven't gone back. I too have seen a lot of bad reviews lately from those staying at Castle Inn.

    Have a great trip.

    Re: castle inn

We found the place to be a dive.

The only thing missing are the street-walkers!

We made the mistake of staying there once. Never again!

Hope your tetanus shots are current.

For your sake, I hope things have gotten better...

    Good luck!
