![]() | GCH DTD view just came back from DL and we had the DTD view. The view was great, but the view rooms didnt have an elevator anywhere near that side. Its kinda like the shape of a U. Your on one end and the elevators are all he way on the other side. |

![]() | Re: GCH DTD view We did however have a bad experience with housekeeping. We always have our Privacy sign on our door. At night they came in and fixed up one bed and nothing else, then left the door cracked open. We had all our things everywhere and someone could have came in and stole our stuff. They shouldnt have came in with the sign out. |

![]() | Re: GCH DTD view Here is my review about our experiences. These might not apply to you. We have stayed at the GCH about 7 times since it opened in 2001. 3 times in DTD view. We really liked the view. No issues with DtD noise 3 time in Std room. No issues, but no view. 1 time in a Suite. Great view overlooking Soarin in DCA. Problems with the hot water, but I was advised about the hot water issue when I requested this room and I still accepted it. So I didn't complain about a lack of HOT water. The only GCH problem we ever had was with people putting their door latch thingy out to prop the door open so that family could come and go without using the room key. Then, slaming the door every few minutes for about an hour. So why do we stay there? The location. We have a small child and it is convenient. We have stayed at the Embyssey Suites and had issues with the ART buses not being reliable (45+ minute waits for a supposed 20 minute schedule). We have also stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and the noise from the drunk guests coming from DtD at 1am every night was terrible. We were on the 4th floor and the loud talkers actually woke us up everynight at 1 am. My inlaws had the same issue with their room which was next to ours. |
