Hotel Advice

Hello,

I'm looking to head down to the parks for the first time in 10 years (sad, I know). My friends and I are looking for a room with 2 rooms. With either beds in each room, or a sofa bed in a main area and a bed in a bedroom. But we are also looking for something affordable.

I was able to find a few hotels that offer rooms like this, they are:'

Desert Inn
Desert Palms Inn
Holiday Inn (Walnut St.)
Quality Inn (W Katella)
American Best Value (W. Katella)

Does anybody have an reviews or advice on these hotels?

Also, how close are they to the park. We are hoping to walk to the park if possible.

If there are any other hotels in the area that offer a room like we are looking for, we are open to suggestions!

I suggest Best Western Inn, you may need to take the bus but the bus stop is just right in front of the hotel and there are convenience store nearby.

Can't help with the motel review as I've never stayed at the ones you mention. I can however help with the distance issue!

Where on W. Katella is the Quality Inn? I used to stay at the one on Manchester when I was a poor college student, but I don't know the other one. The one on Manchester is pretty low rent.

I have stayed at The Best Value a.k.a. Fantasy Inn several times and you're looking at a Motel 6/Super 8 type place. Cheap, but very clean and almost always has rooms. (This place used to have a tiki theme, but it was a victim of the Resort District.) If money's tight, go for this one.

The Holiday Inn Express, next to the Best Value, also has suites and it's closer.

I've heard good things about the two "Deserts," but I've also heard stories about credit card fraud.

After looking around some more, we have found it is cheaper at some places to get 2 rooms, instead of a 2 room suite.

For example, the Quality Inn on Manchester. Any reviews on that hotel?

I'll also look up the hotels you suggested.

Quality inn is cheap and service is nice as well. If you are looking for a nice decent place and don't care if the hotel is fancy or not then this is a definite go.
