Question Ramada Inn Maingate

We are booked here for 5 nights in April. $98.00/ night with 2 FREE nights. Anybody stayed here recently? How was it? We are looking just for clean, cheap, close to parks, fridge in room, free breakfast, and a pool for the kiddies.Should we keep this one or pay 2 extra nights somewhere else? Thanks for the help!

If you are at Ramada Inn Maingate and not the Limited, then you are in a great spot. The walk to the parks is about 10 minutes and you can cross at the corner and be on property and walk along the pretty walkway instead of past all the rest of the hotels. I wouldn't bother with the ART staying here, and I have a 3 year old and a 9 year old to consider with the walk (3 year old is in the stroller though).

I haven't stayed there so I don't know about rooms but I do know that they have a place to get pizza and coffee which are both nice! It rates well on TripAdvisor - and you might do better to check sites like that where people leave their reviews.

It certainly isn't helpful to leave a vote on a poll and not comment on why! You can click the "1" and it will tell you the user ID of the person who voted and then send them a PM asking why they disliked it so much.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Re: Ramada Inn Maingate

I am wondering how you got your 2 nites free? We are a family of 4 coming to our favorite getaway in April and I have been combing all the travel websites trying to read all the posts on hotels and looking at price. The 2 free nights would certainly improve where we end up staying! Thanks!

Re: Ramada Inn Maingate

Whenever my family would take trips to Disneyland we always stayed in the Ramada Inn Maingate. The rooms are basic hotel rooms, but you get a nice continental breakfast in the mornings. I've always had a good experience. ^-^

We've stayed there numerous times. Not fancy, but comfortable enough. The WiFi doesn't work so well in the back of the property. The continental breakfast has instant oatmeal along with the usual stuff.

We have a reservation for spring break, and the prices are considerably higher.

Trekkie Dad,
Did you have any problems staying here? Do you have any pictures? Was it clean? I'm know it's not fancy but would like clean! Thanks for the help!

I've never had a problem with vermin, dirty linens, or disgusting smells, if that's what you mean. Our last three trips we have stayed there.

Well, it's been there almost as long as Disneyland. And I'm sure the rooms have been renovated more than once in that time. One room we stayed in had a big jacuzzi bathtub that looked pretty new.

Back when our kids were little, it was called the Saga; we stayed there many times. It was the closest walk to the park from Harbor, back in the days when you had to walk across the parking lot.

The last time we got there about an hour before our room was ready, so I sat out by the pool and used the WiFi.

I took a tour of the hotel a few weeks ago. I would describe the property as a moderate property. Rooms are clean, great pool area. They have a little courtyard area with shops and an eatery. Here are pics of the property.
