    Hook's Pointe?

Hey all you expert MC'ers out there! My BF and I are going to be going to DL in September and I was wondering if HP was a good place to eat? We have done the Blue Bayou a few times, but we thought we might go outside of the park for a nice dinner? I looked up some info on the food and pricing, but I wanted to get your take on the place. How dressy is it, is the food good, that sort of thing. Any info you can give me would be greatly appreciated!

We ate there (I think) last year and it was very good. Very spur of the moment, so we were in our casual clothes (Jeans and a t-shirt I believe). We didn't feel out of place at all.

I had a yummy pork-chop type thing and it was good. I highly recommend it.

It's the first restaurant I ate at with MiceChatters over 3 years ago, so it has a special place in my heart. I too had the pork chop and it was tasty!! And dress code is pretty much whatever. I was in shorts and a t-shirt because we were at the parks all day, and pretty much everyone in there was the same way.

A great restaurant at a great location. Went there just last April to celebrate with some MCers, and had a wonderful time!

Thanks for the great info so far! I love the pork chop at the BB so I was planning on getting that at HP also. I'm glad to hear it's good!

I love Hook's Pointe. The food is very good and not too pricey. But if you want to make it even more affordable, you can always just order a couple of their delicious appetizers.

I like the atmosphere there too, although sometimes it can be a little noisier than others.

And it's really neat if you happen to be in the restaurant when a bride and groom happen to go by in the lit up wedding Cinderella coach.

    Re: Hook's Pointe?

Personally, we went there last December with my son and his GF and it was terrible. The pork chops were overcooked and dry. The scallops were undercooked and not good. We were very disappointed with the food and the service was very average. I'd never eat there again. It's costly for such a bad experience.

We've never had a bad meal there, and it is one of our go-to places for a sit-down meal.
