ya we definitely we'll get the must ride ones done first..
save rides like star tours for our "if we got time / feel like it list"

Hehe.. I simplified my list of rides a lot. It's just a list now of rides with a "tentative" order. If a ride is down we'll skip it, if we need a break we'll take a break.. so on so on. I also have a fastpass order that I'll like to keep on getting fastpasses as the slots for fastpasses open up.

Back to the restaurant question:

Whitewater Snacks at the Grand Californian Hotel has really good chicken sandwich and nachos. Pizza and burgers too. Seems to be the cheapest place to sit and relax at the resort.

In the parks, Hungry Bear isn't too bad (food isn't great) but the price is right and it has beautiful scenery of the river. Taste Pilots at DCA is a similar story.

And Award Wieners at DCA might be worth a trip as well. They have recently built some seating inside what used to be the Muppets outdoor queue.

My family loves the chicken strips @ StageDoorCafe or GoldenHorseshoe while we enjoy Billy Hill or the entertainment on the Plaza Garden Stage. Portions are big enough to share. Sometimes we'll get a salad and pasta or pizza to share @ Pizza Port (ask for extra plates). Dine on the patio and you'll be first to know when SM re-opens!

IMO Best Food by far and Best View and Meal Deal For 2 ppl is this:
Cafe Orleans...Best Service and Cast too!
Order a Cup of Gumbo each $3.99 (ala carte Bowl is $6.99)
(Could sub the Onion Soup or the Side Raspberry/Goat chese Salad)
Order Garlic Fries to share $4.99
Order of Mickey Beignets to share w/extra Creme Anglese and Couli $6.99
Ice Water with fresh Lemon
TOTAL = $20 then
Use AP discount for the tip (3 course meal/great location w/tip $10)
The Pommes Frite are served in a iron napkin-lined basket hot with parmesean cheese and garlic and aoili dipping sauce way enough to share for 2
The Gumbo is filling in a cup IF starved get the bowl
The Beignets are hot, fresh and piled high with a mountain of powdered sugar (DON'T wear black) served with Creme Angles and Raspberry couli on the side
and we think way better than Brennans! Into the hollow you can pour the sauces and make the best filled donut ...yummy! There are 5 so you must fight over the extra or split...

Speaking of Split...You can always SPLIT the Fresh Made (and less $ than Blue Bayou) Monte Cristo 2 pieces each and have it be about the same as 2 ala carte bowls of gumbo....

I always love how things sound more exotic in French. Rough English translation: Mickey shaped donuts with custard and raspberry jelly.

It is ALOT of food and calories but sure worth it and since it is eaten at the Happiest Place On Earth the Calories Don't Count ...Right?! or is that another Disney Fairytale?

Everyone knows that calories on vacation don't count, so I guess the same goes for a visit to the Park!

I agree about Whitewater. The chicken nachos, in my opinion, are enough for 2 people. They are HUGE, and, not that expensive. Maybe $8.00?
