![]() | This is my first time staying off property, so I was wondering about the restaurants off property around Disneyland since my plan is to only eat around one meal a day at the park. (Breakfast at the hotel, and lunch or dinner in or out of the resort) Any suggestions where to eat or a list of places to eat?

![]() | Re: Restaurants near Disneyland There are a bunch of great chain restaurants and fast food places at GardenWalk (at Katella and Clementine). Also there is a place called 300 Anaheim. It's a very high end bowling alley (not terribly expensive though) with the best bowling alley food I have ever had. Other than that, the majority of food places would be South on Harbor Blvd. At Harbor and Chapman, there's a Joe's Crab Shack and Red Robin.

![]() | Re: Restaurants near Disneyland I was driving around yesterday. Usually I come in from the north ("below their radar...") and see none of this blight, but yesterday I was at a voolleyball tournament at the Convention Center. I was surprised to see so many motels and restaurants. So, in short, there are plenty. I suggest picking something along the way. Something you can do first day: 1. Check for lunch/dinner spots on the walk in. 2. Eat breakfast in DD or DL. Muffin at the bakery near the entrance or inside DCA/DL. Or MM waffles in Frontierland. 3. Eat late lunch/early dinner off property. 4. Look for breakfazst places for the next day. Etc. I don't eat off property. I hardly eat at all while I'm there. Couple of snacks snuck in. Water from the fountain, or share one with family. Something ice-creamy. etc. Tony Roma's, CPK. Saw a Morton's near the Hilton. That's one darned expensive meal. Budget-minded folks here like Whitewater Snacks in the GCH.

![]() | Re: Restaurants near Disneyland Avoid at all costs Captain Kidd's restaurant. Garden Walk has lots of restauarants. There is a Quiznos across the street from DLR. Mimi's is good also. There are ART busses to local restaurants and hotels. The 460 bus leaves for Knotts, Buena Park Mall, and Los Anglels until midnight but you have to catch the southbound to DLR around 10 pm. I love riding that to DLR. |

![]() | Re: Restaurants near Disneyland On my last vacation, I ate dinner at Tony Roma's on my first night. I was surprised how reasonable it was. My bill didn't even come to $10 for the great BBQ Chicken sandwich that I had, and the ice tea was delicious. I also had breakfast at Mimi's and it was delicious. I actually confused it with another restaurant called Millie's which is about a block from Mimi's, and their breakfast was good also. I like starting my day with a good breakfast, and both of those restaurants open early enough to allow you to eat, and still get to Disneyland by opening time. That way, I wait until I am hungry, and I only need one meal inside the park. For the most part, I usually don't return back to the hotel during the day. At least, I didn't on my last trip which was a short one. |

![]() | Re: Restaurants near Disneyland If you're looking for Italian, Luigi's d'Italia serves wonderful food. 801 S. State College. It's about a 10-minute drive; the spaghetti bolognese is wonderful! |

Carolina's At the corner of Chapman and West (Which is Disneyland Drive south of Katella). Carolinas Italian Restaurant Garden Grove Greats great reviews, large portions and reasonable prices. I have eaten there more than once, and very happy with them.

![]() | Re: Restaurants near Disneyland Well if you decide to venture out of the hotel for breakfast, IHOP is a nice cozy place for the early morning hours to enjoy some warm pancakes before heading over towards the gates. Also, it's mighty close and convenient.
