    Re: Horrible! Horrible! Downtown Disney....

I don't remember the last time I ate at Tortilla Joe's, but i think I remember it being kind of good... (Don't hate me)

I also think, not even joking, that Rainforest Cafe gives you plastic food. It is that gross to me.

I haven't been to any other DD restaurants.

I've only eaten at Naples once. I was not impressed. Do they still charge for refills on soda?

I agree, the Rainforest Cafe has some of the worst "food" I have ever eaten, and remains to this day the only place I have sent back food, and refused to pay due to the poor quality of the food.

    Never again.

    Tortilla Joes? Never been.

Rainforest Cafe? It's alright. At least they serve beer and have fun LIVE fish to look at. The service has always been wonderful for my family. Food is kinda lame, but people don't eat there for the stellar cuisine; they're there for the decor.

Jazz Kitchen? AWESOME! Great food. Excellent service (champagne, anyone? woot!) and my son's kid meal came with little smiley-face shaped fries! Their attention to detail and customer service were top of the line. We WILL be going back....I recommend eating on the porch upstairs.

We love Catal and pretty much only go there since we found it. We haven't had good experiences with the food from the Uva Bar though which (I'm told) is from a completely different kitchen and is not that great.
Here are just a few of the key ingredients: dynamite, pole vaulting, laughing gas, choppers - can you see how incredible this is going to be? - hang gliding, come on!

Naples is ok but we prefer the Jazz Kitchen, never tried TJs, Rain Forrest is ok but seemed to be more of a quantity over quality place when we went.

Wow, a lot of hate for Tortilla Joe's in here. I thought the horchata was pretty darn tasty, and didn't mind the food either.

Course, I don't live in SoCal, so maybe being so close to the border biases you a little toward less "authentic" Mexican offerings.

I have yet to read a good review of TJ's anywhere. On that basis I've always avoided the place.

The Jazz Kitchen is hellllllaciously expensive, but the food also tastes expensive. Really top rate stuff.

The HoB has some fairly good stuff too. Last time I was there, a couple years back, I couldnt get enough of the rosemary cornbread.

ESPN has the best chicken tenders and dipping sauces I ever had.

Le Brea Bakery had a decent burger last time I was there and The Uva Bar serves a very good calamari.

I knew you'd feel the same things...

What's this horrible thing that Tortilla Joe's did to MiceChat? (The story can be private messaged to me if nobody wants to post about it in public.)

    Thanks!

I've eaten at Tortilla Joe's and I will not go back again. I ordered Tortilla Soup that tasted burned! How can you burn soup! I wasn't the only one who complained about the soup, there were others seated around me who did the same. They brought us soup from a new pot they were cooking. My son-in-law also ordered a Mojito and it was so strong he couldn't drink it. You could smell the Rum in the drink. That was one expensive drink that had to be wasted. The time I ate at the Rainforest Cafe was good. It was breakfast and the food was very tasty.

It's easy, set the pot too hot and don't stir. Soups, gravies and other liquid foods will burn on the bottom of your pot.

I wonder if I'm just not picky enough, or if I've been lucky.

Tortilla Jo's- had a decent time the one time I went.

Rainforest- never eaten at the one in DTD, only the one in Minnesota.

    ESPN Zone- fantastic burgers.

Jazz Kitchen- Good stuff! Hit or miss with a group, but if I'm there with smaller parties, it's yum.
