![]() | Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? Which has better food? I was wondering which I should choose for my birthday dinner. I made reservations at the Blue Bayou. I have been there once before years ago and enjoyed it. But everyone has been telling us that it has been really bad lately, so I thought maybe I should move my birthday dinner to Cafe Orleans. What do you guys think? |

![]() | Re: Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? ^^^^^ Same here. We're a long-term, multi visit per year diner at the Blue Bayou. In at least over 50 meals there, we have only encountered one issue and that was about two years ago with the Mahi-Mahi. It wasn't done enough. They left mine on the table for me to enjoy the shrimp and other fixin's on the plate and when they returned with my new plate, it was a full meal! Not just the Mahi-Mahi! And they comp'ed my plate ("both" of them!). That's a class act right there! So now you can no longer say, "everyone has been telling us that it has been really bad lately"... ![]() Cafe Orleans is a nice place to eat (we enjoy a few meals there per year ourselves), but for the overall dining experience and especially for a special occassion like your birthday dinner, go to the Blue Bayou. Bon Apetite! |

![]() | Re: Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? It's not about the food, since at both it's ok but not fantastic. It's about the atmosphere and the BB can't be beat. Request a waterside table!

![]() | Re: Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? I ate at both on my recent trip. We found at Cafe Orleans we felt really rushed. We were barely into our appetizer when the entrees arrived, and the crepe in particular was lukewarm (apparently because the food comes from another location). Blue Bayou was better. I do recommend waiting for a waterside table, as it really is better ambience than other locations. The food is good, but since you are paying for the ambience to a degree, it's worth the extra wait imo, within reason of course. |

![]() | Re: Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? Good. I really did not want to cancel my birthday reservation at the Blue Bayou. Now I can tell my husband, that experts agree with me. ![]() What is your favorite thing to get there for dinner? |

![]() | Re: Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? The surf and turf. I'm not a big steak or lobster person (more of a chicken meal type) and the hubby and I shared the steak and lobster last time and it was so good! The lyonnaise potatoes and white aparagus that came on the side were so good! They even split the soup that came with the meal into two little bowls. I ate most of the sides and he ate most of the meat, and we both had room for dessert! I've had some sort of chicken there before and it was good, too. |

![]() | Re: Cafe Orleans or Blue Bayou? Say since we're talking about Blue Bayou... They sometimes offer to let you take your left overs with you (and this always happens cause of how big the portions are. but where are you gonna put it when you go on rides and stuff. STUPID QUESTION TIME! can they deliver the food to your hotel room and have someone put it in the fridge =B ala souvenir purchases? |
