I wanted to try it also. I've walked past it over a dozen times, but never felt like a barbecue meal in the middle of a hot day walking around the Park. Also as a "single rider" i thought it would make me feel a bit lonely.

    Re: Big Thunder Barbeque...

A friend and I ate there for my first time about a month ago, and, like you, with low expectations. But we were pleasantly surprised! The food overall was quite good (although I didn't care for the cornbread). It's still a bit overpriced, but a good option, especially if you hungry, as it is still all you can eat. Drinks not included, though. We did the lunch option, BTW.
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

TY for the info Is dessert still included? And is a gratuity?
We will probably be skipping breakfast so we'll be hungry for it (lunch as well).

monotonehell, I can understand that. But the show might help? Though the hot thing, that is also true, and it's outside!

Oh well. I'll try it and never have to again

I looked at doing a meet there during the Anniversary Weekend. The lady I spoke to seemed totally uninterested in filling up their empty restaurant with happy Disney fans. Further, there was no room to budge on price and I wasn't going to subject you all to an overpriced meal.

I treated Al and Fishy to a meal at the BBQ a while back. It was good. The entertainment was fun. The service was great. But it is TOTALLY overpriced for what it is and as a result we'll likely never go back before this venue is once again shuttered up and becomes a playground for the stray cats.

Absolutely stupid of the resort to be so inflexible that they wouldn't work with us to help them make more money in one day than they ever have at this venue. Oh, well. . . their loss, not ours. We'll spend far less on lunch elsewhere!

Dessert and drinks are no longer included. I'm not sure on the tip, don't know if they automatically included 18% or not, I'm kinda thinking....not.

    Re: Big Thunder Barbeque...

That is really dumb of them.... a group lunch or dinner there would have helped me

Honestly I am really surprised they are still open! Haven't heard too much good coming from there :\ Such a great location, so misused :\

Gratuity is not included anymore, since it is no longer Character Dining.

    Re: Big Thunder Barbeque...

I went over to check it out on Sunday, and the show was so horrible! There were so many awkward pauses because the restaurant was so empty and the cast members were completely relying on the audience participation. I felt sorry for them up there!
Sorry to be a Debbie Downer guys I'm really not this critical, but it was just really bad.

    Re: Big Thunder Barbeque...

i also went with low expectations after reading all the comments here and was pleasantly surprised. my boyfriend and i have been twice and we do enjoy it. but i think it's overpriced unless you starve yourself beforehand to ensure you take avantage of the all-you-can-eat aspect haha. seriously though, we don't eat before we go. i've only been for lunch bc i feel that i don't need to pay extra for another item when i can already get as much as i want so why bother trying to stuff myself with another item of food?! and i don't care about the show...that's not why i go. however, i didn't find it awkward when i've been. i think the musician is quite good and i always watch and clap and stuff bc i don't want them to have to be awkward. i also have seen empty many times, but i've also seen it packed with people waiting to sit down too...so i would be interested in finding out ho well it actually is doing. but it also depends on your server i think bc our first time, our server sucked and NEVER came to check on us....so we hardly got to get our orders or needs addressed. but the second time we went our lady was amazing and constantly checked on us and was very nice and interesting to talk to which made the experience better.

for lunch you get bbq chicken & ribs, refried bbq beans, cornbread, and coleslaw. i think for dinner you also get sausages and corn cob wheels. no dessert with lunch, but i'm not sure if you get dessert included with dinner or not..?
