I love the atmosphere of Rancho del Zocalo, as well as the food.
I gave it to RdZ, hands down.

Definitely Rancho. I love the awnings over the eating area and Big Thunder in the distance. Really nice atmosphere!

Wow, thats like asking do you like bad mexican food, or really bad mexican food.
I would go with Rancho becuase I like the ambiance, especially at night, but bring your own Salsa, because the one the have labled as hot taste like ketchup.

I like both restaurants, but Rancho del Zocalo has more variety. Plus, I like the location better, and the appearance and design. I especially like going at night when it's cold, sitting near the Big Thunder tracks and warmers with Hot Chocolate. It's fun watching the trains go by. My little brother likes to make funny faces at the people going by, and he even sticks his hands through the bars and waves or yells out, "HI!" and people still don't usually even notice the restaurant right there.

I'm not sure where the other place is at, but I love the design of Rancho, my only problem was I got some tacos there and one of the spices in the food caused me to have an allergic reaction! My throat swelled up and I got a terrible rash on my face! It was so weird, that has never happened when I've eaten Mexican food in the past (2 -4x a week I eat Mexican food), so I am not sure what caused it. I am sort of scared to go back now, but I loved the place itself!

haha, this XD I personally haven't eaten at either one - being half Mexican myself and having been accustomed to good mexican home cooking I can't bring myself to eat at either place. But I do agree with your statement about Rancho at night, the ambiance at night is really nice.

Yeah, we don't call it mexican food, just food.

It is an enjoyable setting for a sit-down meal though...

I'm the only Cucamongoer so far. Fun!

It would have been a tie for me if Rancho del Zocalo still served the plate that had grilled pineapple spears. So good!

I wouldn't consider either one "Mexican" food and I'd much rather eat at Del Taco than either.

But if forced to choose I'm taking Cucina Cucamonga.

I'd choose Rancho. Its not that bad considering food at other places.
Mostly like the atmosphere though. Every year my family grabs a table by Big Thunder so we can also watch it pass by.

For the lights at night, friendly staff, and fresh salads. Rancho Del Zocalo. It's also got a very 'Hidden Mickey!'

Zocalo has great atmosphere, and I love the architecture and design, as well as the location right next to BTM...

But they both have equal food quality. But for atmosphere, I'd have to see Rancho.
