Re: Big Thunder BBQ Yay or Nay?

As someone going alone it might be a lot of food but when I last went it was lunch and there was enough food for all 4 of us (although my friends then fiancée ate all of the leftovers!) It was really good food and really fun atmosphere. Woody even "married" my friend and her fiancée, but since I don't have her permission I wont post the pictures but it was fun

Thank you so much for the photos. I was also wondering whether to take the family here for lunch or dinner when we go in November - definately will. I saw in one of the photos the piano players music had Jesse on it - Do they sing music from the Toy Story movies? If so, my 2 year old is going to love that, he always wants to listen to the music from Toy Story in the car.

No, it was just a music style skit, it was good though, entertained adults and kids, light humor, very fun.

I would say make the reservation just to be on the safe side...you never know with Disneyland how crowds will be..

Nay. Bland and dry food. If the food were amazing, then the price could be justified, but as it stands, I will pay about the same and eat at the Plaza Inn or pay a little more and eat at the Blue Bayou.

The sever told us that it's all you can eat BBQ and he almost left without telling us the price till we stopped him. When he told us the price I was a little pissed off and felt that he was trying to sucker us into eating the meal before we knew the price. I was I was on a major budget so we left the park to eat somewhere cheap.

I'm sure its a great place to eat if your willing to spend the money on it. The food sure did look tasty.
Have they changed the seating procedure? The last time I ate there, you had to pay first at the entrance where the menu's were then wait for someone to seat you.

I was impressed, but only because of the low quality of food throughout the rest of the park. The items served were eatable, but certainly nothing that would win a contest. The chicken and ribs are NOT BBQed they are baked with BBQ sauce on them... that matters when you clam to be a BBQ place...

BUT the slaw and beans are fine, and the BBQ sauce they do use is not bad. As with most D-land places to eat, it is more about the ambiance and entertainment than the food.

Go to experience it, but don't worry about living the rest of your life without it.
check out my band then like us (if you want)!
